FOREST v ROTHERHAM - Match Thread

Thanks for posting REV.

You're right we rarely back up a good away win with a win in the following home game. Tonight and Friday are two which we should win, but Hughton hasn't had a lot of time to prepare for this.

I think before the Blackburn game he concentrated on the defence. Made sure we gave nothing away in our defensive third and hoped for the best going forward, and it paid off. I think this week he will still be hammering home the importance of keeping it tight at the back.

Having said that I think the win will have given us a massive confidence boost which should show in our attacking play. We did have plenty of shots on Saturday and I want that to be repeated tonight.

If there are no injuries I'd start with Arter and Taylor tonight.

I'm going for a 2-0 win and another boost before Friday.

Yes thats for this Rev'!
Should be a home win, but that requires confidence on the ball and belief in the managers tactics.

Well, Rotherham have so far beaten Wycombe and drawn with both Birmingham & Huddersfield. Currently sitting on 5 points. Let’s hope we turn up in the mood this evening because we should be dispatching sides like this at home. (No disrespect to Rotherham fans intended).

Definitely need 3 point from tonight, like above I am going for a 2-0 home win. Guess Grosicki won’t be featuring, as the window closed at 5pm on Friday, but the EFL are so incompetent they still can’t tell the time, another 48 hours before we find out, seriously how difficult is it to check the time stamp on paperwork, by the time this bunch of clowns make a decision the transfer window will have reopened. Seriously though we had weeks to get this done, obviously Grosicki wasn’t that bothered, coincidentally neither am I about him.

Evening all.

Sorry Rev, don't agree that it was a great win on Saturday. We eventually got the winning goal after what was, at best, a turgid 90 minutes from both teams.

Don't get me wrong, I'll accept three points after a showing like that. Better to win ugly than to lose playing pretty football.

I just hope we come away with the three points tonight with a far better performance.

When I say it was a ‘great win’ I’m talking about the fact that after 4 pointless games it was great to get the win and our first points of the campaign irrespective of1 how dire or turgid the football was - it was a great win!

We don’t yet have the luxury or expecting brilliant football, and if that means we grind our 1-0 wins with a 90th minute deflected goal, at this moment in time, I’ll take that

Alright, in that respect it could be termed as great but for me, it was a needed win rather than great....

posted on 20/10/20

It was great, because it was so needed, and we got it

For me, that’s what made it so great

posted on 20/10/20

Let's leave it as "greatly needed"!!!!!

Rotherham without the manager. He’s in self isolation.

Gotta beat Rotherham COYR

posted on 20/10/20

Can’t take it for granted, it’s still early days

Yes, I think on paper we should beat them, but we all know, it’s games like this where we’ve messed up many times previously

One game at a time - with the right mindset and hopefully the right intensity and we should come away victorious

No mercy!
