Saturday showed why Brown is still important to us. He was one of our better performers by some distance.

Ntcham can gtf as far away from the club as is possible and it gives me no real pleasure to say I’ve been banging that drum for a couple of years now (smirk aside).

As for this notion that Covid will do the rounds so it’ll even itself out; well that’s just nonsense. It doesn’t go around thinking it’s Rangers turn now. It’s as likely to affect us again as anyone else.

Saturday is done now. Most of us believed we were going to be beat, just not in the pathetic manner it turned out to be. Are we capable of bouncing back? I believe so. Have Rangers got our number? Absolutely. Will Rangers implode like the last two seasons? I doubt it.

Saturday was a huge set back for us and anyone who doubts that is imo blinkered.

Maybe. But that myth has already been debunked on here.
Laudrup used to call Brown 'the man who cannot be booked' or some other such nonsense.
Used to produce the stats to show it was rubbish. Cant be bothered doing it again but he's had a number of yellows already this season.

But he doesn’t in the main. I’m pretty sure there are players on most teams who get away with misdemeanours. Brown though gets carded most times. He’s had a few this season already.

On a somewhat related note we know that refs are very aware of player overeactions to fouls - simulation and / or ‘making the most’ of a foul.

Been watching a lot of the villa games. Used to believe Grealush was a bit of a sand dancer but he really is a quality ‘baller. However, they keep throwing up the ‘most fouled player’ stat and sure enough watching games he draws countless seemingly awful fouls. But he never gets injured and always plays 90?

The crowd missing and hearing the game, every foul he draws he goes down screaming like a wee lassie, like its a career ender. But there he is, up and at it again match after match, minute after minute. I think refs are taking that into account and opponents are getting more fouls per booking against him as a result? That would be a interesting stat.
