We are in huge trouble

The signs have been plainly obvious for over 2 years.

WE. DO. NOT. HAVE. ENOUGH. GOALS. IN. THIS. SQUAD.

We ended last season 10 goals under our record lowest number of goals scored for over a decade. With Aubameyang scoring almost half.

It was clear we'd be facked should Auba end up having a less than stellar campaign this season.

Auba would be ineffective centrally also.

He can't hold up play and the fact that the ball would never get to him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Worse than Laca??

Who apart from scoring 3 tap in, in our first 3 games has missed chance after chance.

Well if you are happy with Auba it's up to you. I am not.

Partey AMN Xhaka
Saka Auba Nelson

I hope we try something like this against Dundalk.

Not really convinced Nelson is adequate quality tbh but he surely deserves a chance ahead of the players in his position. Likewise if AMN isn’t going to be played at wing back anymore than give him a go in CM. Ceballos should have played himself out of the team with that performance tonight.

Why do people think that Auba would look better centrally is beyond me. The way we are playing we isolate every CF no matter who is playing there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he’s a striker. It’s not rocket science. Not saying playing him at CF is going to transform us into an attacking juggernaut but he’s surely a better option than Laca or Eddie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really? The way we are playing right now he wouldnt see the ball. Simple as that.

GT is your thought process actually that limited. By your logic prime Messi or a Ronaldo would be useless for us

The main problem is our forwards are significantly below par. Laca has been on horrible form since he won player of the season 2 seasons ago. Auba has lost form since being shunted out onto the wing for an incompetent Lacazette. Nketiah is useless. Willian is non existent. The less said about Pepe the better.

Even with our lack of creativity, we are creating SOME chances. However none of them are being put away and that is going to keep killing us until we can start converting chances again. We’re only 5/6 games into the season and Laca already has a highlight reel of gilt edged chances missed. It’s just not good enough.

Says it all.

But the silver lining is that we know arteta can play a different style more exciting,we saw it earlier in the season.

It says a lot when your most creative player is a 33 year old CB.

But the silver lining is that we know arteta can play a different style more exciting,we saw it earlier in the season. But he still has to learn about his team probably and how he wants to play as a manager. He never got to learn in lower leagues or youth football so he still has to try things out now a top level,so lest just give him a minute to get it all right.

When did we see this style?

Partey AMN Xhaka
Saka Auba Nelson

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No way at all should Partey, Saka or Auba play on Thursday with a trip to Old Trafford coming up this Weekend.

Auba has been playing poorly and looks tired, should be left out of the squad for this match entirely. Partey possibly on the bench, Saka picked up a knock against Leicester and is currently being overplayed - should be rested too.

Let Laca slave away again, he needs it for his fitness and confidence, Nketiah should start too along with some of our other youth/reserves.

Seriously, if Arteta starts Saka and/or Auba on Thursday then I might lose all faith in his intelligence and abilities to keep us progressing in the right direction.
