Perfect fit for us, and has hit the ground running.
Useful signing, similar level to Shaqiri as a squad player will do really well for you. So far looking really good as an immediate improvement on Firmino which doesn't take much doing, possibly leading people to overrate him.

behave similar level to Shaq
he will get 15-20 goals for us in all comps at this rate
He is the next step in the squad evolving. With Mane, Salah and Bobby all hitting 29 we now have a 23 year old primed to take over.
Will be interesting to see if Salah and Manes performances are negatively affected when he starts games, and if their goals dry up.
Can't wait to add Thiago to the mix.
Unbelievable signing for Liverpool. I questioned the move initially - for both parties - as I didn't see why they needed him.
But he's been immense. If he can maintain this form then he could not only be signing of the season but Player of the Year.
i have to wonder where the best cf in world football because he brings others into play Firminho is going to fit in all of this
I was jesting with the Shaqiri comment, and slightly tongue in cheek regarding the Firmino comparison too.
Great signing, something you've lacked (winning the league and CL aside) for a while has been a genuine replacement for any of the front 3 without making you notably weaker, or easier to defend against.
Glad someone finally brought the jota question up
Never heard of him. Is he any relation to Diogo Jota?
Got off to a flyer by being allowed to score his first goal after handling the ball, he has hit a purple patch like Calvert Lewin did, but will eventually return to his level of mediocrity.

Jota should really deserve a start in the big game vs City at the weekend, if he starts Firmino it's just to keep the media off his back or because he feels sorry for him.

I imagine he'll fit into the starting 11 on Sunday against City. Only he now won't have to play 50 odd games a season every season. You worry about how you overcome Demba Ba and Martin Skrtel.

someone is salty this morning
Saw a lot of Wolves living near the area, I was surprised they put £40m down on Jota. He's a decent player but one who goes through patches of hot spells then leaner spells.
Maybe a move to Liverpool, higher standards and better coaching that'll improve.

It’s easier to maintain form and become a better player when you’re surrounded by quality, and under a top manager.

I agree with this. I thiugh exactly same of mane. Would be in a real streak then dissapear when he was at southampton. But he managed to get consistency at liverpool.
Lets see of jota can replicate this. Bit so far so good.
He's more of a goal threat than Firmino and quicker, which is something we've lacked in some games. He's also very good at pressing from the front which Firmino does so well. His link up play isn't as good but Firmino has been out of form for a while now having played so many games, since he joined the club. He barely ever got a rest. Now we have a good replacement, one who is in form, it will not only give chances for Firmino to get a rest but also give him some competition which hopefully pushes him to up his game.
