This hasn't been a great read.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Killed some time though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At least they didn't try to debate the fact that their club is skint and relying on crisis loans to get through the season.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ach well - I am sure our run in Europe will provide enough money to keep us going despite it being paid next year.

Worst case - we will sell just the 1 of our assets - should realise around the £20m mark.

Any word on when the Co-op loan is being paid back?

Rumours are that it's being called in as they are getting a bit twitchy what with circa 5-10k season ticket holders going for the refund of their money and no real Europa bucks to speak of.

Nevermind...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
what is all this co-op loan nonsense?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've already worked out what it is.

As for slapping ridiculous price tags on players, that's not what happens at Celtic.

What happens is that clubs actually turn up wanting to buy them and making formal offers. Deals then get done.

That's not what happens at Ibrox.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Lille president Gerard Lopez has confirmed the club did put in a £16m bid for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

Interest has cooled in the Colombian of late but the French club have not ruled out returning for the player.

Lopez told TalkSPORT: "We have (bid £16m). He’s a good player, otherwise we wouldn’t bid for him"

--------

They didn't meet the asking price hence why the deal wasn't done.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That old chestnut.
I did find it strange that the president of a French club was prepared to turn up on the Jim White show and share the precise details of a transfer offer. He's never been on before or since.
Did Gerrard confirm the offer of €16m?
He did confirm the previous offer received of €3m so idle surprised if he didn't confirm an offer €16m.

The co-op loan. As at our last accounts, Celtic owed just over £2.8 million on our loan, down from £4.1 million the previous year. The co-op are that concerned about us that they agreed to increase our overdraft facility up from £2 million to £13 million to help us cover the costs with the pandemic.

So, they’re that concerned they’ve offered to give us more money.

The co op loan reached heights because some didn’t understand the use of the word ‘facility’. Celtic have had access to a revolving credit facility for years, and some idiots thought this meant it was money they owed. A RCF is just an overdraft, and you can only owe what you use.

The sale of 'le tireur de pénalité' should just about cover that £13m then.

I’m sure we’ll do what we need to cover our debts. It’s what we do.

But you do acknowledge your ‘rumour’ is just complete and utter made up nonsense though?

Oh dear-back to the old tactics.

For the sake of others, I’ll leave it at that.

For your sake, so should you.

Au contraire - I just enjoy chucking in a line or 2 to get you and your wee sook, POV, on the beel. It is rather amusing.

So many years of giving it the 'big wan' but now you all appear very uncomfortable with being on the receiving end.

Tatty bye!

Youre drawing a false equivalence there.

Once youve won 9 titles in a row, ten trophies in a row and Celtic have gone bust, taken a year longer than necessary to get back to the prem, picked balls out of hedges, etc then we'll be on the receiving end.

This is just a blip.

You don't bother me in the slightest.
Celtic have won more matches this season than you've won arguments on here.
