If its so one sided why are the biggest trading bloc in the EU even bothering? Out of pity?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you mean, even bothering? Even if the smallest state left the EU tomorrow there would still be discussions about the terms of leaving ffs. What a bizarre argument.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You know exactly what i mean.. why are they bothering for a deal? They dont have to? Since they dont need it anywhere near as much as the UK does? Thats the narrative right?

Spoiler, we would have been better off in the EU.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remain Cameron and Osborne should have sold that, rather than say recession would happen right away and 500,000 people would lose jobs on June 22nd 2016, if they dared vote a certain way.
.....

You’ll never blame this on remain. Sorry.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can blame it on Cameron though. Called the referendum to try and solidify Tory power for another decade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Since they have been in power, this country has been one shaite show after another. Yet people keep voting in the same in time and time again.

True, he thought remain was a given. Unfortunately a group of self serving liars became the Brexit mouthpieces and the rest is history.

I think the last 5 years has opened our eyes to just how dim your typical Brit really is, and that education in this country needs some serious reform.

Imagine working class people from the north who voted so heavily for Leave to buy into what Farage, Boris, Gove and JRM were saying. Imagine trusting that group as having their interest at heart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe, just maybe there’s a section of working class people that are racist? Let’s discuss the elephant in the room here.

Yep.

I also find it amusing that most Brits are in favour of the NHS yet we've voted people in who would love to implement an American style health system here.

If you didn't know you were watching an real life character, you'd think Rees-Mogg was doing a parody of a toff.

Actually, I still half expect him to come out one day recognising he's been one of The Yes Men all along.

I mean they had 3 years to work out they had been lied to and then still voted Tory.

It didn’t help that they had been told the labour leader was a Marxist, but it’s still unforgivable.

Of course the UK needs a deal more than the EU. No discussions are completely one sided. The UK is a big player, nobody is saying otherwise, doesn't change the fact that we begin the new year in a far worse place than we ever were whilst in the EU.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

NO! YOU HAVE TO DEAL IN ABSOLUTES!

Anyone else remember a message on the bus saying that a certain part of the United Kingdom will have a border down its sea and in effect be following EU rules/regulations?

People will vote for who the media tells them to.

I'm looking forward to our useless opposition party giving a big well done to the government and admitting that they were wrong to be so panic stricken.

As was clearly explained to them on countless occasions these things always go down to the wire and the EU need a deal as badly as we do.

Like the Guardian and Mirror and not forgetting the hopelessly left leaning BBC?

It’s only a matter of time until it’s semi privatised at a minimum realistically.

The best way to tell if someone is polarised is if they start bleating about the BBC being biased.

Just imagine if it was up to Corbyn to deal with everything that’s gone on - least of all a brexit deal.

I’d leave the country if that man was in charge.

Don't think mentioning it once in response to the pathetic "it was the medias fault" argument is bleating on Tam.

If we're completely honest, the left took large swathes of voters for granted and completely lost them by prioritising issues that meant very little to them in the context of their everyday lives.
