This season so far, what's your;

1. Favourite match? What a question probably last 5 mins of St Johnstone away 2-0
2. Favourite goal? Elyounoussi away to Lille, 1st goal
3. Favourite player? eehhhh probably Ajer

Also a mini Awards if that's permitted..?

Best Bhoy? JFK by a mile
Best Bear? ehhhh HB, coz he's an indy man

Merry Christmas Eve one and all. Much love to a site that’s kept me sane this year.

And woke up to a potential Brexit deal! Not to derail the thread but that would be a nice bonus. I just hope Ginger might come back on to say “I told you so”.

*obviously it’ll be a ‘better than nothing’ deal.

Doing a bit of work from home today. Had widwife round there, all seems well.

1. Favourite match? Any of the European performances tbh. It's strange watching us go toe to toe with a system that allows us to defend and attack
2. Favourite goal? Tav's 35 yard penalty
3. Favourite player? Hard to look past Tav, Kamara and Barasic but Steven Davis still offers so much. What a career.

Struggling with the awards a bit. Mainly because of bad memory.

Best Bhoy. I'd probably give it to JFK but he'd be too much of a pu55y to come out and collect it so I'll give it to Silver. A sterling contributor this year.

Best Bear. I'd probably give it to Duke but he's a scheidt poster so Zachsda steals that one.

Best Match. Ma face and your erse.
Or is it the other way around?

Best Comment. It is definitely Zachsda. I can distinctly remember seeing one a few weeks back and thinking 'that's the comment of the year'. Unfortunately I cant remember what the actual comment was.

Best thread. GGOTW. I so look forward to it every week. Mainly because I usually win it.

Merry Christmas ya filthy animals.

Best Bhoy? Ginger for accepting his place and leaving. Possibly my mags for slating everyone regardless of creed
Best Bear? Zachsda for being consistently hilarious and outrageously generous. Thanks again
Best Other? Ivan for his upbeat game reviews
Best comment? Unsure off the top of my head
Best thread? When you all had a meltdown about Lennon leaving

Call Sign - why you change your name to Zico?

Just up not often I get a lie in. Alarm went off an hour early cos dome idiot knocked the switch to EU - it must be an omen? Stoating about f'ing and b'ing she says get back to bed ffs then she gave me my xmas present and got up to do the dog herself .

Not clocked the news yet. As you know I was a leave voter to try and leverage a yes next time. Two things that struck me about the EU this year. When covid struck countries put up their national borders which seemed odd when the virus did not know borders. Every cant kept their own resources and the EU showed little leadership. Even now they block bought vaccines and some other stuff but little evidence of dealing with covid?

Then the negotiations stalling on the fish and worry that UK could gain a competitive advantage by subsidising industries. Isn't that what progress and government all about - achieving better results, perchance excellence? Does the approach of the EU achieve lowest common denominator. All sounded a bit communist to me?

Of course, countries find ways around the subsidy rules and of course it seems UK is the one that plays mostly by the rules. I had a career in an industry that would not have existed here if it was not for subsidy so am biased. It gave us something to crow about and we had true excellence, high pay and decent conditions.

Lastly, memory is shot so no point asking me these daft questions about best goals and stuff. Best moment(s) the cliquey pub outings in those heady days of late summer when we had a life. Echo Pointy, this place and these beers helps keep me sane.
