Not sure about that. For one, they will have a hard time getting him off a rival team and Levy, and for two there are other younger candidates they could go for, such as Haaland, Mbappe, even DCL if he keeps the form up. And of course we know they are linked to Messi too.

I’m so sick of the fans that label Poch as a failure when he took tottenham, yes tottenham, to the champions league final. We might scrape a League Cup under Mourinho but that’s as good as it’s gonna get. Plus we played amazing football. Has it ever dawned on you lot that his lack of silverware thus far might have something to do with club budgets and financial policy? His ‘failures’ have more to do with Levy and Lewis. I’d say he got us within a whisker of the greatest club prize of all, in spite of the ownership, not because of it.

I’m glad he’s got this move. It’ll prove to all those non-believers that with the right club with the right backing, he’ll be up there with Klopp and Pep.

You can't reason with those people. They are never prepared to look at the bigger picture. Poch might have done better in cup games, and if Jose wants to prove that he can outdo Poch on that front then the League Cup would be a good place to start. It won't change all the other good stuff that Poch did with the constraints he was under, as well as dealing with the change of stadium which people seem to forget, which is a big deal for an in-form team to come to terms with.

I'd be delighted with this appointment.

I think he would have been perfect for the United rebuild, so am glad he won't be available for them.

I still think he is too good for PSG, but he must be bored to death of waiting around.

I don't think Poch would need to bid for any of them. They loved him so much, they would approach him and see if they can get a trophy with a team that spends as big as Liverpool and City in the quest to get trophies

I think I’ve found a team to support in the CL now. Only trouble is, they’ve got Barca.

It’ll be interesting how he gets on over there. His style relies a lot everyone pulling for each other in a high pressing game. That worked for us as we had a lot of young, hungry players at the time. Will the likes of Neymar and Mbappe jump on board? I’m not so sure.

I'm pretty sure Sandy has at least one sock account. Don't know which one though. Maybe several of the 'characters' we have on JA606 are all Sandy.

Imagine the meltdown if PSG (with Poch at the helm) were to knock Spurs out of the CL.
