He signed some great players. I haven’t watched the video, but surely Rooney has to be up there.
Yeah surprising the all time leading goal scorer for United is not there! Was at his debut game, in the Stretty, beautiful
Rooney has to be near number 1 spot surely....
Legend really - although difficult to think of him as a legend... he is the top scorer for Manchester United and was consistently brilliant in near enough his entire time at the club.
We would walk this league if we had a younger Rooney.
Definitely Bruce not Vidic. Bruce and Pallister were the central defensive rock on which Fergie's team were built.

Think that’s the seven I’d go with, except the last would be a battle between three CBs for me - Ferdinand, Bruce and Vidic. All great singings in their own ways. Couldn’t argue with any choice.
Keane and Rooney were hot properties before we signed them (as was Ferdinand). Cantona was a top player but it came right out of the blue. Irwin, Ronaldo, Vidic and Schmeichel were all, if not exactly unheard of, sort of low-key signings who became truly great players.

Rooney should without a doubt be in there ahead of Irwin and Bruce. Irwin was a fantastic player, but he wasn't nearly influential as Rooney.
