The more I look at the replay, the more you have to wonder Arsenal cannot sign Raya permanently. Sell Ramsdale and get a proper keeper in that’s good with his feet

Yep. Raya isn’t in the best 5 keepers in the Prem. Not convinced he’s actually in the top 10, but the GG award is based on clean sheets, so it is what it is.

Emi wanted to be guaranteed to be 100% a starter. No player at any top club should ever be guaranteed that.

we all know that Arteta would have dropped Emi the second he made a mistake. remember all the talk Arteta had about how neither Raya or Ramsdale are first choice by default and how it would be down to performance. Raya making mistake after mistake yet still kept his spot.

So the fact Arteta played Emi when Leno was fit should say it all.

I don't know that at all. Leno was terrible at playing the way we want, I have no doubt Arteta would have continued with Emi as number 1, but Emi was insecure about the idea of some competition.

Ramsdale made similar amounts of mistakes last season tbf.

this is such a myth. raya has made heaps of donkey mistakes all season. ramsdale never did it to the same degree

And bear in mind, Raya plays a far, far riskier game than ramsdale.
