Who knows which Rovers team will show up? We really have to stop the non-winning row of games (don't even think about the 17 that caused our relegation to League 2!). I'll say we will stop the rot with a 2-1 win. Who will score? - Bogle if he starts, otherwise Okenabirhie if he starts in Boglee's place. After I'll seen the team tomorrow I may change that . Having just got my first Covid-19 vaccination, I may be too tired to wake up! The vaccine distribution under Governor Brown-Shirt has been pathetic for people 75 and above, and our second shots are not until March 21.

Like you Micky, I havent a clue what to expect today. The rest may have done them good or they may be rusty. Im thinking the upheaval of the January signings could have settled and everyone should be match fit and know their roles. If they flip the switch we'll win. Im thinking 3-2 to Rovers. Richards or Bogle.

You have to go back to the Experiment season to compare with this for the amount of personnel change which a manager has had to handle and it is usually not a recipe for success. SOD used to have to cope with a lot of injuries and perhaps it reflects intensive training regimes. So you might say Moore did well to sustain the form for so long. You can be sure about how his game plan will look, but the difference is in the execution, with fine margins between success and the opposite.

We 75-80 people in my area got our first jabs in January and the England programme has almost reached the under 60s, but whilst some of my over 80 friends got a booster too in the early days of the roll-out, the rest of us have got to wait 12 weeks between doses. The UK has benefitted from having full records of the entire population via the NHS, whereas my reading of US media suggests it has inevitably been more haphazard over there. We have had an appointment system, so not much queuing as fas as I know. Good luck!

2-1 to Rovers. Bogle with the first. Hoping the new signings are now going to gel and we can kick on.

Okenabirhie to score.

C'mon Rovers ⚽⚽

Interesting with Bogle and Okenabirhie both starting. I'll still with Bogle for the first.
The mass vaccination centre worked very well and we were in and out quickly. It is being run by three health local care organizations. The big problem is the reservation system. Considering we are a high-tech region, it is strange that so many computer programs do not work very well!

1-1 bogle with the goal

With 74% of the possession the failure to create a viable shot on goal until the half was almost over had to be seen to be believed. Because we do not move the ball quick enough the opposition can concentrate on being in and around our players and can be sure that they will crowd us out, especially once the penalty areas is reached.

And of course we cannot defend set-pieces.

...they seem to be trying to play it around more quickly in the first few minutes fo the second half.

I do not know how any team can win when they miss chances like the Rovers did today. If one just looked at the statistics, one would have thought the Rovers would have won (just like the WBA vs. BHA in the Premier League today where one would have thought BHA would have won). The lack of intensity in Rovers play, even in the last ten minutes when chasing a goal, is really worrying. At least the commentator said the Rovers cannot score if Balcombe and the defenders keep playing the ball to one another.
I thought DM’s substitutions very strange, and it was obvious Sims was not pleased. My first subs would have been Okenabirhie and Richards off, with Taylor and Copps coming on. Then I do not think we would need another substitution as we would have taken the lead. I thought Smith was a little off his usual skills, but so was Richards.
Both Okenabirhie and Bogle were poor today, with Bogle probably having the worst miss. He seemed so much better against Hull. Bostock seems to be a reasonable acquisition with real potential to replace some of Whiteman.
I thought Balcombe could have done better with both goals. For the first he seemed to telegraph he was moving to his right and so no wonder they went for his top left corner. The ball was in the air for a long time before crossing the line, and if Balccmbe had not seeming to be going the wrong way at first, would have had time to get across. It was a good strike, but it was savable.

I really don’t know what to say. Playing as they did, always out from the back in meaningless sterile patterns, backwards, sideways, backwards, often all the way back from the edge of the Ipswich box, it is amazing that they had so many actual shots on goal.

It is almost as though they think that if they keep passing the ball they will score goals and win, as though the “system” will deliver goals and victory automatically without them having to exert themselves unduly.

The organisation around set pieces is appalling. They obviously do not know what they should be doing as the number of goals conceded shows. That is borne out by the fact that the commentary team tell us that they can hear the Goalkeeping/Set piece coach shouting out his instructions from the dug-out.

Sometimes, you feel sorry for your team after they have lost. I don’t think Tom Anderson deserved it, but I don’t feel much sympathy for the rest of them. Wins have to be earned.

Just a little change of subject, did any of you hear Chris Wilder's comments on the Beeb? OK, we have a love:hate relationship with the Blunts, but this was a manager who told it what like it was for his team. One of the most honest statements I've ever heard a manager say.
Only a miracle will save them, and he knows that will not happen. It is sad as they have Sharp, Stevens, and Lundstram who all played for our beloved Rovers.

We now we know why things might not having been going so well lately! DM gone to the Weddies. Andy Butler appointed manager!

Its a bold move by the board. You cant say following Rovers isnt interesting! Financially probably a very sound move. I think AB could well succeed! Lets wish him well.

The official line is the approach was Friday. However Im pretty sure he and his agent will have known of the interest since the start of the year. There were rumours.
