I’m not convinced on the pen...

The Lamela sending off was fair. He’s a massive

I think it's a pen however it's weird that lacazette messing it up has helped him as usually you see so many late tackles that should be fouls, but because the player got the shot off the ref lets it go.

If that shot goes on target then no pen is given. WHich is wrong

Lacca admits it’s not a penalty, he’s kicked him at the end of the day. Overall though it was a deserved win and we only have ourselves to blame for not attacking from the off.

Media desperate to justify being so wrong so all focusing that its not a pen 😂😂 let me drink your tears

Anywhere else on the pitch the ref calls its a foul. No different in the pen box

Penalty - as said, if Laca had got decent connection then it isn't given. However, his slice left the ball 2 yards away and Davinson went through him. Clear penalty.

Lamela red - personally feel both yellows were a bit soft. However, when you look at his conduct from the moment he came on then he can have little complaint. The first thing he did was raise his hands to Xhaka, and if our man went down then VAR could have ended his day very quickly. Then there was a kick at Luiz, who again could have made more of it. Plus a lot of fouls. So you can look at the 2 that got the cards and feel it could have been harsh, but watch the game and it was well deserved.

Lamela can count himself lucky he wasn't sent off before half time.

Lamela had every look of a player who has lost his head from the first whistle. They usually get sent off.

He always looks like that, and somehow that was his first red in England and only second of his career.

Weird. Wonder why, then.

Lucky Lamela a master of the dark arts.

Anybody that thinks that is not a penalty is bonkers, Lacazette messes up the shot but if he is not taken out he can have another go - Sanchez isn't even in the same post code as the ball !

the second yellow he throws his rm out and catches Tierney in the face how is it a soft yellow

posted on 14/3/21

Because you see players holding off defenders like that all the time. It wasn't an elbow. That is rarely given as a yellow.

Honestly I care more about Harry Kane than Lamela in this game. He's a thug and I just want him to experience a consequence for once in his life.

Yeah, that challenge on Gabriel was out of anger and there was clear aggression in it. Gabriel is lucky he didn't suffer an injury. Ref ignored it.

OP you are assuming Freddie has a good relationship with Arteta. I personally don't think he does.

Because the media talk fondly of him whilst watching replays of him kicking players and pretending to be hurt against united. Filthy double standards

Honestly, can't even feel bad for an injury prone player desperate to injure others. Maybe he gets lonely on the treatment table?

Stonewall pen and stonewall red card. Lamela was lucky it took him that long to see red. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Like every team, we’ve had decisions go our way incorrectly. Today was not one of those days.

Luiz would probably have got red for that

If Laca actually had a proper shot i doubt it would have been given, because he sliced it 2 yars away it was given imo. He could easily have got a 2nd chance to shoot or even gather the ball.

Lamela is just a rat player and born cheat. He's lucky our players didnt dive around live divas otherwise he would have been off ages ago.

PS Laca said the pen was lucky which lets face it was due to him miss-hitting it. He didn't say it wasn't a pen.

In my opinion it wasn't a penalty. Laca miskicked his shot and in the process ended up giving Sanchez a good whack up the bum. How is that a penalty and not a foul against Laca? I wd be absolutely mental if that was given against Arsenal. But against the combined Jose-Spurs partnership of evil I'll take that any day.
