I feel it's about the balance for England which imo Southgate hasnt got near to solving.
Moving forward I'd quite like to see a Rice, Bellingham, Foden midfield three at some point.
There's bags of talent in the squad though, I just dont think the way we set up plays to our strengths at all. Seemingly it just tries to address our weaknesses.
What kind of a MF is Bellingham? I've barely seen him play.

In which case I'd like to see your idea of a Rice, Bellingham, Foden midfield. Not convinced about Southgate in charge of it though.
Morgan Gibbs White was part of that squad i think and sadly he hasn't progressed at all since.

Yeah I thought he'd kick on but hasn't. Came off the bench against us and it was the first time I'd heard his name in a while. Curtis Jones has over taken him.

Criminal. If Aidy Boothroyd is best the FA can come up with for the U21's then furture generations are funked.
As for Southgate. FML. He looks and talks like a loser.
If Pickford is still our keeper come the summer, i'll tune out of the whole shhitttshow
Drop off rate for u17s is big for any nation, same for u20s. It's tough to keep improving and get the chance to show what you can do.

I'm not really sure why Southgate gets such a hard time. Had one tournament and took us further than we had been in nearly 30 years. He can only best what is in front of him.
He's got the team playing 3 different formations since in preparation for the next tournament and we have the flexibility we haven't had since Hoddle going into a major tournament. He's also rebuilt some credibility around the national side and how the public sees them. I dont see who else you'd have at the moment if we're only looking at English managers.

Maybe because with all attacking talents we have, he's still not able to beat any decent team, even in that world cup run.
