Northern.
When I saw your comments regarding tonights match I thought what a biased anti Leeds person you are, I was going to answer your comments but instead I will paste the comments I have just put on another site.
'I would just like to say that this match was one of the great matches of the Super League Era,Mr Ganson really let the game flow throughout. At times I thought that Warrington got the rub of the green with the refs decisions, though late in the second half Leeds got the decision with the Myler offside (though a few moments before Warrington got the benifit with the Rob Burrows knock on).
End to end stuff all the way.
Being a Wigan supporter all I can say is that if we beat Saints ( IF) we will have a hell of a job to beat Leeds on tonights showing.
WELL DONE BOTH TEAMS,RUGBY LEAGUE WON TONIGHT.'
Sorry dunny but I beg to differ on "RUGBY LEAGUE WON TONIGHT" the officials won tonight yet AGAIN!

if thats what you saw then its time to take off those rose tinted glasses.
after reading various other forums you seem to be the only person in the world who thinks it was a bad decision
I thought Leeds deserved to win, and in my opinion the officals favoured Warrington on the 50/50 calls.

A great game and he was offside as confirmed by all the presenters who said it was a 100% correct decision, lets big our game up not knock it down due to petty rivalries.
The rule states when the tackled player regains to his feet and places the ball on the ground only then can a defensive player can advance forward. If you watch it again more carefully you can see when the Leeds player places the ball on the ground Myler moves forward which is legal according to the rule book, Myler was 2 yards forward when the Leeds ball playing player picked the ball up hence TOTALLY the WRONG decision AGAIN!
ref's don't have the luxury of watching it again or slow mo, that is ridiculous, the commentators all had the same view as you and the linesman a better one and he called it.
However for Leeds to be even in that position is pretty incredible as Warrie have been immense, anyway you clearly have an anti Leeds agenda so will always see it that way
according to the laws of the game on the rfl site,
players of the side not in possession other than the player taking part in the play-the-ball and the acting half back are out of play if they fail to retire ten (10) metres from the point at which the ball is played or to their own goal lines. Players of the side in possession other than the player taking part in the play-the-ball and the acting halfback must retire behind their players involved in the play-the-ball or to their own goal line.
(h) having retired the distance prescribed in the preceding paragraph no player of the team not in possession may advance until the ball has cleared the ruck. A player who is out of play may again take part in the game when the advantage gained by not retiring has been lost.
Myler set off before the ball cleared the ruck and was inside the 10 metres when it did therefore he was offside.
Myler was the full ten if you watch it again fellow. But the rule book I have state different to your internet ruling. The rule book I have is the official rugby league rule book and I stated word for word as its describes the rule of retiring the full ten metres and when the defending player can advance which states when the tackled player puts the ball on the floor and the player plays it in a backwards motion using his foot. FACT!
The rule that i quoted is taken directly from the rfl website fella so they are the official rules that superleague is played under not the mickey mouse version of the rules that you have.
Sorry to let you know kid but I have the OFFICIAL rugby league rule book, perhaps you got your information from the union website who knows,or was it from the Rhino website?
blimey this guy is nuts what a great game and so was the saints and wigan game get a life
If the officials wanted leeds to win they would have awarded the try.
Only one person out of al the commentators, fans, players and managers thinks he was onside and that is the Leeds hater, work it out.
Although I have to say you could almost give twenty penalites a game on that as many teams encroach.

Rubbish fellow,I work with a whino fan and he even said the offside was to close to call so please don't say that whino blinkered view lad.
I think I should ring the rugby league headquarters and ask them who's going to win between Saints and the whinos so I can see if its worth watching,my own feelings is the whinos will win from ANOTHER howler from the guy with the whistle. You'll see!
Maybe your version of the OFFICIAL rule book is old or more likely written by you and you just claim it is the official one. The rule that I quoted comes from the official website of the RFL - the organistaion that presides over rugby league in this country if you're not sure who they are.
