OP, weren’t you “Ole in” just a couple of weeks ago? Has this changed and, if so, why?

To answer the question in the OP: Shaw, Lindelof, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Martial and Rashford can all be said to have shown signs of improvement under Solskjær. Not all have sustained it, of course.

Then the likes of Bruno, Cavani, Greenwood and Maguire have come in under Solskjær and done pretty well.

Im Ole out. I don’t think he will top this season. Go out at the top.

I can’t see anyone beyond Shaw currently. Most have regressed.

Lindelof and Fred are bad at football, but they are less bad under Ole than they were under Jose.

I would also point to the signings Ole has made, which have doubtlessly improved the side he inherited: AWB (as distinctly average as he is, we had toilet paper at RB before him and he was highly coveted/rated when we signed him), Maguire, Telles (given Shaw the kick up the bum), Fernandes and Cavani.

You play 3 different teams for a start
Are certain players injured or suspended
Referee decisions go for or against you
VAR
Transfers
Are the team you playing at certain parts of the season in and out of form.
List goes on.

We have a manager that set us up with 2 Dms in every single game. Which is why 90% of our games these season. We have been dire to watch. Plus agree with the OP. Apart from Shaw. No one really improve. Bruno has come in and save Ole. Not because he a great manager.

Of course but when looking at it from a United point of view, when fans say finishing 2nd is progress. Is it really. I think the league is weaker this season then the one before.

It'll be the improved points tally and league position I'd have thought.

I can only assume if we finish 4th or 5th next season the same fans saying finishing second is not an improvement be willing to let Ole off because the league is harder next year, so it's not really a sign of us going backwards.

Mason Greenwood is a better all round player that he was 12 months ago, refuse to believe Ole hasn't has some impact on that.

Rashford is better, going through a bit of a dip at the moment

Fred and McT are better than they were under Jose.

Who knows, Could finish 4th and only be 3 or 4 point Behind the league winners. So yeah you could be right.
