no rush...think he'll give my side balance...more so out there than Gabbigol anyway

I need a powerhouse striker - have Dzeko but he's shot I think

Forster signed a new contract with Saints! Was hoping to see him at a title challenger next season

Haha nae luck so have Prowse and van dijk

Nah Maxi was playing away from home anyway apparently

Not sure on my backup xi. Will most likely use players in different positions where I can like Javi at cb and Ramos at rb unless I cut down my foreign numbers. If anyone wants to sell me their best HG and u21 players feel free!

Ive sold Forster anyway, was more of an intrigue to see if he's as good as he seems at Southampton!

He is, go and answer my transfer please

You see i think he is, but then i was convinced Begovic was top 5 in the PL whilst at Stoke, now im far from convinced!

Terry offered a new deal Looks like me sticking with him will pay off

posted on 13/5/16

Just cos he plays for Southampton lol he has proved himself

Backup fullback in, room for two now, possibly Gabriel Jesus to be promoted so just need a CM now

posted on 13/5/16

You only stuck with him because you couldn't offload him

I don't like Forster, but he's better at Soton than Begovic was at Stoke.

How often have players moved from lower down the league to higher up and not looked great for it? Probably more than have managed to really establish themselves. He's a ridiculous shot stopper but you don't know how playing at a club that isn't conceding as many chances or is facing more crosses for example cause they are harder to break down through the middle.

Look at Joe Hart, at Birmingham he looked like the best keeper in the league, City he's being questioned more and more each season.

Mignolet another, Begovic. Foster the other way round, looked awful at United, much better at WBA.

Thats not true Renegade, i rate Forster very highly, to the point where this season im starting to think he's the best keeper in the prem, but the doubts over whether it would be the same at a better club will always remain for me.

posted on 13/5/16

Forster has already done at a big club as much as I hate them though and impressed at the highest level in cl.

posted on 13/5/16

It shouldn't tho, a save is a save and the end of the day, playing for a better club doesn't effect that, gks different from outfield players

posted on 13/5/16

I agree with LSTD about players moving to big clubs. It's a different ball game in terms of any mistakes being slaughtered and having to be at the top of your game. Seen it plenty with Rangers, get players that have impressed at a higher level in big leagues that can't handle the pressure.

For goalkeepers obv concentration and the mental side is a huge thing

posted on 13/5/16

It shouldn't but it quite clearly does. Doesnt matter which position you play, things chance when you make a step up in team, the evidence shows that even for keepers.

Not quite sure a big club in the SPL is the same as the prem or that impressing for Celtic in the CL is any different to impressing for Southampton in the PL, either way you'll be conceding chances and then reflexes and shot stopping become far more important than the rest of your game, or at least much more noticeable

Would like to have seen him move up anyway cause i genuinely think he's up there with De Gea, Cech and Courtois

Exactly Cech moved from a low league club to a big one in arsenal and has made a few more mistakes here

coverage makes a difference though...if someone plays for a team that isn't your team, you only see them in highlights etc

Dennis Irwin - at Utd he seemed reliable but nowt amazing - when he came to Wolves (past his best) and you see him in the flesh you realise how good someone is

posted on 13/5/16

That would be funny had Cech finished lower than where Arsenal will this season more than once in his 10 years at Chelsea, as opposed to 7 times higher
