I'm never gracious - how do you expect me to start now?

Best part of the radio commentary was Brian Moore ripping into idiot mouthpiece Saggers who is only interested in soundbites. He appears to know absolutely nothing about rugby. He shot him down in flames so many times it was hilarious.

We should be magnanimous in victory, and applaud the Scots for their dogged determination to keep their noses in front, and wish them well

But we wont, we'll just laugh and point at you, you frock wearing, haggis munching, octopus blowing jessies

No,I won't stop it,why should I? We get all their rubbish rammed down our throats decade in and decade out. Have you not heard their son?

And if I see an Englishman I'l push the baa lamb over"
Mine is in response to theirs and nothing more. Are you going to tell them to stop their bigotry,I think not?

You cant stereotype a whole nation with a couple wrong uns. On the whole the majority of the Scottish are pretty level headed individuals. You get the same thugs wherever you go, the only difference is you can label the Scottish thugs as Anti-English. Whereas the English ones arent much different

A couple of wrong uns? They're like the Borg in Star Trek, all thinking the same way. Even their "National Anthem?????!!!!!!!!" composed in the seventies is anti English. The Flower of Scotland. The Corries had a concert where they sang about a Scot chased and killed by the English."But don't worry,he took 6 Englishmen with him" to loud cheers. You're talking rubbish Edin.

How am I talking rubbish.? In the full version of the English national anthem there was this chorus.

Lord, grant that Marshal Wade,
May by thy mighty aid,
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush,
and like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush,
God save the King.

EVEN THE ENGLISHES NATIONAL ANTHEM!!!

I don't understand why you think you no more about the matter anyway. Being a proud Englishman and having lived in Scotland for over 14 years now I think I will know more about the matter. Most people despite not wanting England to win in some sports dont have any real problem with the English.

I walked to and from the pub this morning, celebrated loudly when Ashton scored the tri and did anyone even get angry with me? NO

In Liverpool if you wore an Everton shirt today in a pub full of both fans I am sure arguments would occur on the streets and in the pubs!

Surely this proves that the English are no better, and you have just got a bigoted opinion on the Scots

No-one got any opinions on the game?

Imo England handed Scotland an opportunity on a plate, but they couldn't capitalise. Whenever we had the ball we looked the superior side. For some reason Youngs and Wilkinson were determined to play a stodgy game.

What was Jonny thinking with those drop goals and the kicks at goal in the first half? Lunacy.

Youngs took a year to do everything and actually wandered between rucks, even when the ball was placed perfectly on the deck. At scrums he waited for the ref to ping us for some 'infringement' rather than get the ball away.

The only thing that depresses me more is that MJ took so long to make a change. It's almost as if they were directed to go out there and play like that.

This isn't 2003, we can't win games like that anymore. We're not strong enough in defence, we're not disciplined enough, our pack isn't strong enough, and our kicker isn't the best in the world anymore. We've got to start playing like we did in the 6N and use our pace.

hazsa, im not too down hearted.

Scotland were outstanding in how strong the came out of their blocks and always perform admirably (especially in defence) against the top teams and ESPECIALLY England! Our front 5 impressed me as did our back 5. However Im still a bit iffy with the flankers and the scrum & fly half.

Tuilagi has really impressed me, and I believe our mind was on the game ahead (as unprofessional as that is). We will annihilate France next game!

Yet the two sets of fans are mixed in the stands! You wouldn't see that in Scotland!

I didn't write this so you could have an argument about who hates you. I'd delete your comments if I could be bothered but anymore and you will be deleted.

From now on, comments should be about the actual game.

As for the game I always thought that it would be a nervy very close affair but not that close. I just wish that England players would learn the penalty rules. They give away far too many.

I'll chuck my unintelligable nonsense into the mix.

I actually thought a couple of the Scotish penalties were a bit harsh first half, Dan Coles tries to roll away Ref dings him 3 points. But that aside I wasn't impressed with Jonny kicking from long range and Youngs unusally dithered on the ball a bit.

Second half I thought we were the only team trying to play rugby, in better conditions against a team less set up to spoil I think we'll do better.

I thought we had the better scrum, we only really lost it on a technical point, Stevens should know he needs to lower his backside about 2 inches or get creamed by a prop of Murray's standard...as a prop myself that made me angry, its the most basic part of being a Loosehead!!!

Anyways exciting match, I felt we'd win at the end and was relieved we did. Bring on the French, a couple of big hits, some massive scrums, and maybe a drop or two of rain and Les Bleus will be waving their little white flag as per usual in the quarters!
