Now that we have drawn City on the opening day of the season, Levy will definitely delay the sale until the day after. Hopefully, Kane will score the winner.

And then we’ll sign Ings who will spend most of the season injured.

Lukaku (expensive) or Lewandowski (cheaper) would be the only options for me.

Realistically Ings and a gamble on Jovic is what I see us going for. Breel Embolo or Patson Daka or Weghorst.

Padson Daka and Ing. We will probably need another English lad for the HG quota.

A lot of Paratici deals and scouting are seemingly in Italy. There are some very good strikers, locals who could be a huge success here. And no, not Lukaku.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Go on....Belletti is a given...hit me with some others.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Talks of Parataci having approached Domenico Berardi, Lucas Alario and also Lorenzo Pellegrini.

From memory. Paratici has been very busy and is still scouting.

Well Pellegrini is a midfielder, Beradi is a wide player and certainly not and out and out striker even when he does play centrally and Alario plays in Germany. So none of those tie in with your Paratici scouting locals/ in Italy comment.

As an aside, we've apparently just signed a scout from Juve. No idea about him but it seems we are actually scouting now.

Anyone suggesting Lukaku are the same people mourning Conte. Big name, not the right fit. (depending if we suddenly become a side that creates countless chances and need a big name to stand in the area lacking a first touch but can finish when given a clear cut chance)

We can't attract the creme de la creme of football (wages or transfer fees)we're not going to replace his goals like for like, or assists like for like, so basically we go one step down and get Le Tissier out of retirement.

Although I'm still not certain he'll be gone.

I never said we are just looking for strikers??

We need players in a few positions, so yes that's why he has been in touch with those players.
The other comment which shows shortsightedness, Paratici has been scouting already before he even started for us. He did that in preparedness for his role.

How is that none of that ties in with local comment?

2 out of 3 players are playing in Italy? That is local?
Refocus to suit the narrative

I think we have been linked on and off with Icardi a lot the past few years. Maybe it is more realistic with Paritici & Fonseca who have experience in Serie A. He is quality but has a bad attitude and baggage like you say.

Danny Ings is an obvious choice. Knows the league and has shown he can score so that's a possibility?

Ivan Toney is a massive gamble but could be worth it. But he would cost £££ and rightly so. Probably best for him to stay at Brentford at least another season now that they are in the premier.

To replace a player like Kane will be a nightmare. He is basically like 2 players for us. Assists & goals. Also a massive leader.

For goals alone Moussa Demebele would probably work for us too.

I really am keen to see how our scouting and purchasing is after the appointment of Paratici and whether it will actually change or stay the same with Levy making the final decision.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would not say Kane is a massive leader, in fact he is a bit of a wimp on the pitch. When do you ever see him pumped up and shouting at his teammates? Great goalscorer, but not a great leader.

He leads by example in training and in matches. Rather than scream and shout.

That is not leading on the pitch though is it?

All really great teams over the years have had a couple of players who will pull others up if they are not pulling their weight on the pitch.
Once the teams are on the pitch the manager/coach loses a large degree of control, this is where players need to take responsibility for their own actions and motivation.
Sometimes a kick up the jacksy is enough to galvanise a team.
Some players on occasions look like they are not really committed, they get huge amounts of money and the least they could do is show some passion and effort for it.

I'd never heard of the bloke until the other day but Isak from Sweden looks a real talent.

21 years old, 17 goals in la liga and young player of the year. That's quite an achievement.

He looked skilful and pacey in the game v Spain. Someone like that would be an exciting replacement.
