No way will Sanchez be going, I expect he will be given a big role under Nuno. Even Aurier and Sissoko are still at the club, with just a couple of days until the season starts. Not easy to shift players.

Yeah you wouldn't think so the way the journos are talking about him under us. But him and tanganga could alternate at RB and also CB options

Romero for the money is that quality player and can't see us being able to fork out more for a similar quality player or persuading them to join for that matter

Tomiyasu give us a CB and RB option, also comfortable on his left foot more than our other CBs.

Getting in two new CBs as a pairing is quite the risk no matter the quality if both need to adapt to the league (this is overstated but odds are at least one of the two would be slow to get going)

Can't see anymore than 2 more signings tbh and they should be a CB/RB and Striker

Yeah I have, but he doesn’t seem fancied so far. Even if you throw him into the mix, him and Tanganga are (relative) kids and Romero is 23 with no PL experience. That leaves Dier as our senior CB. Sorry mate but that’s unacceptable.

We need a quality partner for Romero or we’re gonna be in all sorts of bother. My feeling is Sanchez will stay and he and Romero will be Nunos first choice pairing.

I agree with you re Dier but just as much as Rodon doesn't seem fancied, Dier seems very fancied by Nuno and can see him partnering Romero for the season. Its how it is and we'll have to live with it.

I actually think romero and sanchez could be a good partnership. At least they're both quick, front footed defenders and speak the same language

Skipp and Hojbjerg midfield looks like it has fantastic potential. GLC/Dele for the more advanced CM spot.

I just want fresh players and fresh ideas now. There are so many of them who I’m utterly sick of the sight of in a Spurs shirt.

Still don't understand why Toby was sold for peanuts. He would have been perfect for one more season whilst Romero settles in. On SC they were saying Nuno was talking to an experienced CB who he knows well.

Baffling decision to get rid of Toby when we have Romero, Rodon, Tanganga and possibly Tomiyasu.

Dier really is the king of bum licking.

Dele sits in that category of players that need a big August - Jan for me, before I finally say fack it, get rid. The drifting out of games and slowing play down became really frustrating. I blame Jose for a lot but Dele went off the boil long before he arrived. Hope Nuno can rekindle some magic.

Ndombele is another in that bracket. Loathed to say it as it’s obvious what talent he has, but it’s nothing without application and so far we haven’t seen huge amounts of that. There were some pics of him looking lean and happy at the training ground yesterday - dunno if they were legit or not, but would love him to own that advanced midfield role this season and boss it. He could be such a facking baller for us, frustrates me so much.

Agreed, Dele and Ndombele will be classed as deadwood by January if they don't perform. We need to be ruthless. There's potentially 100m of transfers tied up in those two. Imagine who we could buy.

It won`t be done in one transfer window mate. It will take a few. Spurs are not one of the financially doped clubs that can just go out and spend willy nilly. As I said it is also not that easy to move players on.

Lots of our supporters think it is like Fantasy Football, running a football club, where you can just move players in and out at will.

Skipp and Hojbjerg may have potential but it also looks abit lightweight.

Skipp looks decent against lower league opposition, not dominating or spectacular but a good steady player.

Better than Sissoko and Winks - Yes but would I trust him to be in the first eleven all season? No. He has shades of weak Winks about him.

I don't think he is ready at all yet but there is more hope for him than Winks all day everyday.

I'm more excited by Nile John's progression than Skipp right now.

Saw some links to Joao Palhinha, Zakaria and Tolisso yday so hopefully Paratici feels the same about Skipp.
