Man City Preparing £150m Kane Bid

What's that like £130m?

Getting tempting...

Think I'd hold out for more or offer them a lower price + Laporte (provided he's keen to join for some reason)

posted on 12/8/21

Preparing a bid and making a bid are two different things.

If they make it the bid we should push for more. It's about £128m. Not enough.

Have just noticed it’s Euro’s unless that’s a mistake. Not sure why it wouldn’t be in £.

For me £150m only.

Combine that with player sales and being in Martinez / Vlahovic, centre back, right back, CM and back up striker

Apparently lautaro is gonna sign a new contract at inter

I’m still very keen on Laporte. (Based on him wanting to join)

I know others aren’t but he’s a PL proven, left footed centre back who would slot in next to Romero.

£110m + Laporte or £150m

His agent said "As of today" and at the end "we will see" with talks scheduled next week. Has he even been offered a new contract by Inter?

Dunno why you wouldn't want a Laporte who's up for joining us

Wouldn't be able to get a better centre back

€150m (£128m) + Laporte = Would be acceptable but only after we sign a new striker or two first. Then we shake hands with City.

£150million is to low, has to be rejected. Has to be north of £160 million or no deal.

110 plus Laporte would be a good piece of business

Imagine if our transfer window is

In:
Romero
Laporte
Martinez
Tomiyasu
Gil
Gollini
CM - ??
2nd Striker - ??

Out:
Kane
Sissoko
Sanchez
Winks
Dier
Aurier

Yes losing Kane would suck big time but we have a very strong team

No it wouldn`t at all. Why would Spurs take just £10 million more than Grealish went for, and a player that doesn`t want to be at Tottenham. It would be awful business.

If you have one of the top three strikers in world football, then he will command a world record transfer fee. Simple as. None of these concocted deals, that is what happens with lesser players.

Agreed. You have to be pragmatic when it comes to selling Kane. Our team would look much better.

Sandy - how many times do we have to state that, that deal would only happen if he was keen.

If he’s keen then that’s a great deal 👍

I said weeks ago my preference would be £120m and Laporte if we could get him. Solves a CB issue and gives us a bigger budget for the rebuild. Obvious downside is the loss of Kane, but if his head has gone then we need to make the best of the situation - bleed City dry and reinvest wisely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Think you getting Laporte for less what we’d ideally want is a good compromise for both tbh.

This exactly 150m or shut up. Levy should put a deadline and price back out in the market. I would have increased the price and leaked it to press.

'Spurs looking for £180m by August 16th. After that date. No sale...'

Not enough mate for one of the world`s top strikers. Has to be at least £160 million. And I suspect that will be Levy`s minimum take.

That’s why I was asking. We’ve got Jesus and Delap coming through, didn’t know who your current backups to Kane were.

Does he really want to come to us though? I seriously doubt it.
