My sources tell me Amad's deal to Dortmund has now collapsed as he's going to be going to Juve on a two year loan in the Ronaldo deal. Juve also getting Lingard whilst United will then make a late play for Neves for DM.

Well AWB has looks awful this season

You'd think that, but Pogba and Zlatan (biggest ego in football) ended up getting on very well together and Pogba looked to enjoy playing with someone that talented/respected.

Dortmund see Dalot as an alternative to Amad for their right hand side. The versatile Portuguese can play anywhere on the right and also fill in at left back. His move to Dortmund will see Dan James deputise as RB as his chances of games in attack will be diminished by the imminent arrival of Ronaldo.

Greatest player in the world if we get him. Operated and past his sell by date if we don't.

Does he play midfield?

It’s a sideways move at best from CR7 coming to utd.

Do you think he's improving as a player?

I'm conflicted. It's like a girlfriend you don't want any more but you don't want anyone else to have.

I'm the same here.

I know we don't really need him as a priority but, at the same time, he would improve our attack and it would mean he wouldn't be going to City.

What we really need is reinforcements in midfield more than another attacker.

.................

Look at it another way then. City don't really need him, he isn't suited to the way Pep plays under any stretch of imagination and is far more likely to have an adverse effect on the dressing room than a positive one. Sterling for example would have to wait for Grealish to get injured to get a game.

Whether I am right or not that will remain to be seen, but that is how I see it.

The pragmatist in me sees that of course. Yesterday I was kind of OK him going to City. It's been 12 years after all but if we were to sign him I won't pretend that I wouldn't be excited.

I kind of get where you're coming from but I don't think City play in what is considered the "Pep way" anyway, and by that I mean tika-taka classic Barca.

He has already used two number 8's for example which he never used to and it would be no surprise to me to see him try and find yet another way to win.

I'd have thought Torres would be dropped rather than Sterling also.

Not strictly true. Ronaldo would play as a 9 and Grealish would play in midfield with Sterling ahead of him on the left. As I said above, Ronaldo is more of a poacher these days so there is a world where he’s very suited to what City need.

They’d set up with something like Gundogam, KDB and Grealish in midfield with Ronaldo, Sterling and Mahrez ahead of them and Rodri to come into midfield when they need a bit more steel.
