How have we got to the conversation of Sancho being garbage after a couple of games ffs

No I’m not judging him, I’m saying in his first 3 games he’s been poor. Today he didn’t commit defenders, didn’t create chances and wasn’t a threat.

…….

As usual I have no idea what you were watching.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he was decent today i thought, but yep, anyone labelling him diabolical, or shocking, or awful, really must have been watching a different game.

mind you, there seems to be a popular narrative that we weren't good today, but snuck a jammy win, when i thought we generally controlled the play, spent most of the match camped in their half, and deservedly won quite comfortably.

football, bloody hell.

Looks like United have bought the England version of Sancho, not the Dortmund one.

Because most of our fans on here do not have a clue about football.

I can only single out one bad performer for us today and that was Matic.

Lingard has a much more intelligent movement than Greenwood, MArtial, Rashford, and Sancho. He should defo be the option in games with organized defenses. Sancho wasn't great today but has shown glimpses of his talent in previous games. Maybe he should be saved for CL, where we know he can perform until he beds in and then in the PL.
Hopefully, Rashford comes back firing which will mean less pressure on Sancho to start firing straight away.

Sancho came on against Southampton when Man Utd were completely on top and then made us lose control of the whole game by giving it to the opposition in nearly every attack.

Sancho is rubbish compared to Lingard. We should have made Man City sign Sancho instead as he is like Depay in the PL. No end product and below average player.

Sancho is tier 1 world class lad. Calm down.

nice try culer, he’s nowhere near that, and you know it, but I guess these wums do the trick

No doubt we deserved to win today.

The problem for me was the majority was laboured and slow and we were invisible in midfield when they won the ball back.

The reality is also that both Ronaldo’s goals were mistakes from a 3rd choice keeper.

Though Sancho was OK today. A few tidy touches and moments where he unsettled Newcastle. Was unlucky not to get a better touch on the Fernandes shot and also that Fernandes played the ball behind him when we broke 3v2. Commentator on my stream questioned why he took a touch… probably because the pass that should comfortably have been made in stride was played behind him…

Absolutely that pass was 2m further in front of him and he was onto it, the youngest boy and I were screaming at the screen when Bruno made the pass

Christ alive, if that was ever a serious option then Sancho should never have been transferred in in the first instance.

I'm not the kind of person to make hasty judgements when a player needs to adjust to THE most competitive top-flight league in the world, nor will I succumb to the hyperbolic twattery that follows football like no other phenomena. But Sancho deserves to be given, at least, half the chances that lingard has had to prove how crap he is.

It’s only the 4th game of the season with a disrupted pre season with the Euros and already an international break shoved on us.
We’re top of the table and the place in rocking like never before since Fergie.
My beer is tasting good today and we are only going to get better.
Ole will never be the greatest tactician but we can all thank him today for helping give us a true United feel and team back. I’m excited again and it’s been a long time coming after Moyes, LVG and Jose,
Viva Ronaldo

Right now absolutely. Sancho was our worst player today alongside Matic. No urgency at all from him and just not on the same wave length as his teammates at times. Will take a while to get going.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably our worst player against saints too, was awful. But let’s not forget he’s brand new to the team, will take time to get up to speed.

We may as well have f**k*d off Evra and Vidic after their first few games with logic on here

If Pogba is one of two holding midfielders, teams will always be able to run through us, certainly with Matic or Fred as the other part.
We have a great range of attackers but need a top quality CMF, as every poster on here knows, so so does Ole. But who to get and when.
I think it will be next summer, so we will have to manage the best we can.

Jesse is a helluva good impact sub and he'll be useful this season, but even at wetsham he faded after starting every match. His footwork today was superb and he looks hungry - everyone without a #7 on his back will have to hustle and produce if they want to be part of this!

Bundesliga is a very different pace from the PL. Sancho needs game time to adjust to the league benching him won't help him achieve that.

Another 5 or 6 starts and he'll start ticking over trust me. He's leaving everything a little too short ATM but that's just nerves....

Just give the lad some time!!!

I pray that I am wrong about sancho but he has done nothing to convince me that my concerns about him were unjustified. Luckily, it is way to early to say either way.

Vidic and evra are utd legends, but there is no doubt they were also diabolical in their first games for utd. Saying Sancho has been diabolical so far, is simple facts. That is not to say he will continue to be diabolical
