We're missing a midfield.

Every match so far, we've not had any control over the centre of the pitch. We really needed Rodrigo to step up and be our new Hernandez (as much as he could be) but he's looking more and more like a No.9 playing out of position.

Sadly, I can see us propping up the division on current form.

As for Struijk - I think you're being harsh on him. Look at the replay on YouTube -- seemed like a clean tackle to me.

I wonder if the club will appeal the red card?

Terrible for Harvey Elliott, one thing to consider…if he didn’t get hurt, that would have been a great tackle and play would go on.
Thought Firpo had a shocker, Salah ran him ragged and even beat him to the second ball.
Rodrigo I thought would be like a new signing this season, apart from not putting that chance away he was invisible.
We are only 2 points behind what we had from corresponding fixtures last season.

Certainly was the worst performance since promotion and was excruciating at times, but that Liverpool team will be up there at the end of the season. Excellent team.

Too early to push the panic button just yet but the strengths we had last season are missing. The pressing game, pressuring the opposition, quick breaks, accurate passing.
Have total faith Bielsa will get it right.

And hope Harvey Elliot makes a full recovery. Looks a great talent.

sorry 46, I see Struijk out of position making a desperate tackle from behind. Nothing malicious, but outcome is awful injury and red card, it's not good defending.

stress, I remember Firpo blocking Salah completely at times, thought he did better than usual.

Did a great tackle out wide to get the ball back.

There were times in the first 20 minutes when you created a good chance and had 5v4 against our defence only lacked good decision making.

My thoughts from today are simple. We were outplayed in all departments by a much better team.

Ask for your money back on that LB. Should have had about 4 yellows - very fortunate.

Roberts is not good enough, that's for sure.

Thought Struijk was unlucky with that challenge - hope Elliot recovers fully.

Bamford is a great football player.

We’ve had a tough start, Man Utd, Liverpool and Everton have a lot more quality than us and Burnley isn’t an easy ground to go to. Last season in those same fixtures we lost, drew, lost and won, nothing to worry about yet for me. Against the top 4 we’ve got to accept that we are up against it.

Next 3 games are more of a judge of where we are this season - Newcastle are a poor side, Watford newly promoted and West Ham are similar level to Everton and Leicester so we could get a result.

I thought Phillips was awesome today, Firpo did well considering it was Salah and we caused their defence problems. Rodrigo had to score that chance but it’s hard for him to build up form if he’s hooked at half time, especially when he wasn’t that bad and his replacement offers little.

We’ve had a really tough start. Will get once we start playing lower teams. Absolutely not worried about promotion. Bielsa will turn it around

2 points from 4 including Man U and Liverpool aint disastrous by any stretch, but we ain't looking like half the side of last season. We're looking like an easy 3 points atm. We were garbage today from 2-11. Thought Struijk was playing well and he'll be a big miss if suspended. Rodrigo is NOT a midfielder, how many more times are we going to play square pegs. Under recruitment is looking like coming back to bite us.

Firpo was being turned inside-out by Salah, but seemed to learn how to handle him (as far as anyone can handle Salah) as the game progressed.

Think Firpo will come good, but may need some time to acclimatise to the level of this league.

Well yes, if he didn't get hurt studs wouldn't have went into his ankle and broke it and obviously it then would have been a great tackle.

Let’s not overreact chaps, 10 games will be a better measure but if Everton win tomorrow we have played 3 teams in the top 4……

Definitely concerns though with rod, firpo and Lor. Thought Struijk was unlucky as happened right in front of us and looked hard but fair. Obviously don’t have the benefit of reply but hope the lad recovers. Klopp and Salah only reacted after player is screaming on the pitch which is an indication they didn’t even think it was bad.
