Not sure if he counts as really famous but I was in Valencia airport a couple of days after LVG was sacked and met Phil Jones as I got through security (He just have been on the same plane) and I went up to him and was like ‘hey Phil, did you hear that Jose is the new manager ?’ And he didn’t know so I broke the news to him which was the first and only time I was an ITK.

As far as actual celebs I was walking through London a few years ago and saw this commotion outside of a theatre and Josh Hartnett was signing autographs and I went up to him and hugged him and said ‘thank you for 30 Days of Night’ and he looked at me like ‘um, oooookay?’ and I walked off.

I’ve met a few celebs but none as obviously fascinating as those two stories.

I met Terry Pratchett in the BA Lounge at LHR. He just introduced himself as Terry. I knew who he was straight away.

Not once during a few beers did he mention what he did. He just mused on life in general. A very down to earth guy.

When the flight was called for boarding I said to him that I had enjoyed talking with him and that Sam Vimes was my favourite character.

He just smiled back at me.

Not me but my workmate used to live in London and is friends with the actor Tom Sturridge. When Tom was with Sienna Miller Sienna showed him text messages from David Beckham hounding her for a bit of that and the other! Becks is well known for this apparently!

I've met Bobby Charlton, he was very quiet and OK.
Met the Doc who was exactly like you would imagine.
Leonard Fairclough and Pat Phoenix from Corrie in a pub, alright.
They have all just been normal really.
One or two other actors in London but I forget who they were

He was another of those young actors that was tipped to be the next superstar that was not. He did a couple of major movies. Robb will tell you what they were. I think lack Hawk Down was one of them.

Stood in the Square pub in Manchester next to Corrie's Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) in 2001. I thought she was only 17 so told the barman she was underage! I was wrong though as she turned 18 a few months prior!

I know or have met a few celebs. In the main got on alright with them, buy that's mainly because I don't fawn all over them.

I've known boxers, cricketers, movie stars (international) am mates with a couple of footballers (1 now retired).

The only person I had an issue with was many years ago when prisoner cell block H was massive. One of the main characters was called Bea Smith, forget her real name. Even though it was an Aussie soap she was from England and used to sing in a gaayy bar near where I was working as a waiter (was about 16/17) at the time. She pizzed me off to the point I was held back from punching her in the face.

I used to work with a well known Artists Management agency and met loads of sports and entertainment celebs. Most we really nice and generous people living the dream. But still, a couple of tw@ts.

I worked in TV for a decade so think of any big name in British tele over that period and chances are I met them.

But I will never out do my sister. She had dinner with Paul and Stella McCartney, Roman Abramovich and Cameron Diaz. Paul got the whole of the restaurant to sing happy birthday to her then sang Eleanor Rigby to her

She also went on holiday with Carrick, Gerrard and RVP. Random.
