Just play Gil. It's why we bought him.

Just the small issue of the fact that Gil has been pretty crap since he’s come in.

He's been average but probably unfair to judge him with so few minutes players for a young player coming into a new, far more challenging league.

I thought he did well when he came on against Chelsea.

He's a 20 year old who's barely even played 500 minutes for us and he's already being labelled crap ffs. Were you expecting him to set the world alight in his 10 minute cameo's of the bench ffs

Hes been fine and looks promising

Traore signing now even more likely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Levy trying to do a deal with a baby oil company to finance the move. Other teams have proper Oil. We are going for baby!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really do not get the hype from some quarters around Traore. We have been linked with him on a few occasions as well.

He is built like a tank and can run fast. After that I am struggling to see what he brings to the party.

I'm delighted spurs are signing him and we aren't

Most times I have seen him play he has been bullied off the ball but he does have ability. Never said he was crap but he is not ready to start in the prem week in week out yet.

Sunday is a perfect game for him. Start him at home against Chelsea or Arsenal. Hell no. 10 or 15 minutes off the bench? Yeah why not.

Gil, imo is not ready for a full 90 mins in the EPL. If he was at Chelsea or City he would be on loan somewhere. Done ok when been called upon but not set the world alight and really needs to fill up a little.

Unfortunately, our team needs much more than a Gil right now.

Antonio Conte has confirmed to us that Heung-Min Son is set to be sidelined for two weeks - but there is positive news with Eric Dier and Ryan Sessegnon both available ahead of our FA Cup third round tie against Morecambe on Sunday (2pm).

Sonny has a muscular injury. “We’re a bit disappointed for Sonny, because after the game against Chelsea, the day after, he felt a bit of pain in his leg,” explained Antonio on Friday afternoon. “He had a scan and, probably, he will miss two weeks.”

Ryan has been out since impressing against Liverpool on 19 December while Eric missed this week’s Carabao Cup semi-final, first leg at Chelsea.

“Ryan is okay, and available for the game on Sunday,” added Antonio. “For sure, this could be a good opportunity to see him again. That’s good news for us. Eric Dier had a training session with us today. That’s more good news. He missed Chelsea because he was ill. Today, he had a training session, and he’s available for the game on Sunday.”

Steven Bergwijn is also closing in on a return from a calf injury that has kept him out of the last three games. “I have spoken with Steven today, and he’s solving the problem in his calf,” said Antonio. “I think, very soon, we’ll see him with the team.”

The news continues to be positive on Cristian Romero, the defender on the way back to fitness following a serious hamstring injury suffered playing for Argentina against Brazil on 16 November.

“Cristian is improving a lot,” reported Antonio. “Now, we are trying to bring him to a good (level of) fitness. He’s working a lot with our physical coach. We need a bit of patience, it was a big injury, but now he’s working very well. He will be very important when he’s okay again physically.”

Probably fair to say he'd be on loan if he were a Chelsea player. If he were at City he'd have been sold to Barca for 45m..

Obviously he's not set the world alight but we're only going to find out if he's actually good enough by giving him a few games. I mean, it's him or Bergwijn. Or a panic signing like Traore who'd probably be worse.

Absolute incompetence that we are yet again in this situation. If that da cking mega bells end levy would go out and sign a real f a cking player, we wouldn’t have to ground our only two decent players into the ground. It’s so fac king obvious to everyone but that total cant.

Here we are a week into the transfer window and nothing is happening other than a rumoured meeting in the fac king Bahamas.

People who still support levy baffle me more than those that still say boris Johnson is doing a good job.

Total cants the both of them.

W a n Kers.

Understand it's a hamstring injury for Son and while Conte is hopeful it will be two weeks out, there are some fears within the club that it might be as much as five.

Not overly worried about Son missing, he has been playing poorly for weeks now. Yes, he has scored a few, but his general play has been about a 3/10 most games. Son was totally useless again midweek against Chelsea, so will hardly be a miss when Spurs play Chelsea twice more in my opinion. He is a very streaky player.

This will be a great chance for Bryan Gil to get a few 90 minute games under his belt, and see what he can do. At least he looks like he has pace, and can actually beat a player.

No surprise here.

If there was a 'team who gets bad news at the worst time most often' cup, Spurs would win it every year.
