Another really good win and it has to be encouraging that we are playing well week in week out at the moment. Credit to Gomes who has come in to a defence that was one of the best in the division and he has slotted in as if he’s been there all season. The consistent performances really stem from Neves and Moutinho who are both playing well every game now. A win in a difficult game despite not really looking as though the 352 set up was working for us. Fabio often looked isolated and him and Podence weren’t able to link together effectively and retain possession in the attacking third.
But there’s a nice little gap between us and mid table now and a top eight finish looks increasingly possible especially with a few players set to return from injury, primarily Neto. Dare we dream of finishing even higher than 8th

After screaming for a CB for so long I can't remember, by March we will probably have Kilman, Coady, Saiss. Gomez, Mosquera and Boly. That would be more players than we have for any other position

I still think we need a defender. I think Bruno will want to transition to 4 at the back eventually and we don't really have a commanding centre half to support that.
Out of that list; Boly might not ever return, Mosquera is still unproven, Gomes needs time to make a full assessment, Saiss still hasn't signed a contract and there are question marks over whether Coady can play I'm a four.

Feck it, i am all in, champions or nothing in my dreams and we got a lad from Switzerland so it should be a formality.
Looking at the league table now and the teams around us I think top 6 is a little ambitious. However, I do think we have a real chance of finishing 8th or even 7th. If we achieve that with all the stumbling blocks that have been in the way, I think this will be a remarkable season for the club and will provide a launch pad for even more success next season.

Still don't think we will finish top eight without additions. It is an odd table in general this season to me, a lot of clubs just drifting about. We have for the most part been mediocre but yet have a cushion in eighth.
Make no mistake though, the top six is wide open the last few seasons and we really could have been doing what West Ham have been doing with a proper squad. Seems silly to me that because we are eighth people think that proves we are set and don't need any additions, such a dumb way to look at it.

Such a weird game to be honest. Brentford certainly on top til the injuries and then the bizarre drone disruption. After that they had a little spell early second half. We rarely looked particularly good in my opinion but did enough.

Winning ugly is a skill only the best sides can master
Look at the opening 3 or 4 games we played the best football that I can remember but with Jack to show for it
After those opening few games we’ve done good. In a league table of games since1st September we’d be 5th and only 3 points off 2nd
In the last 16 games we’ve lost 3 including defeats to Man City and Liverpool
We have the 4th best defensive record across the 5 top leagues in Europe.
Good day this, Wolves win followed by a Bengals win against the odds in the play offs

My initial thoughts were that it would be the Steve Bull and Jeff was pulling an insurance job to continue the redevelopment.
