That they are still be allowed to play is frankly astonishing. They are owned by a mate of Putin, and the club should at the very least be suspended, until our very hopeless Government finally sanctions Abramovich and starts seizing his assets.
---------------------------‐--------------------
Wtf! Listen to what your saying Sandy, we do not live in a dictatorship, you are going on waaaayyy too extra over fans singing their owners name.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tbf the timing of the singing was totally inappropriate and completely deliberate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get that, but , suspending the team...really??
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well yeah that’s obviously a bit silly.

After all that Abramovich has done and achieved for Chelse, I can understand Chelsea fans' support and appreciation for him. In any event, we live in a free society, not a dictatorship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What he has done for Chelsea has been done with blood money stolen from the Russian people and laundered through London and Chelsea FC. Believe me there is nothing honourable he has done for Chelsea. Everything he has done with his dirty money is for his own gain.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's your opinion. Other people are perfectly entitled to see things differently rather than be forced to swallow the official line.

We don`t live in a dictatorship, but it is ironic you are happy for supporters to be singing the name of a man that is supporting a dictator. You couldn`t make it up.

There are certain levels of decency that you try to adhere to even if you do not live in a dictatorship.

Yes really. You do realise that lots of people are dying in Ukraine, so football should be taking a backseat in reality. Abramovich is a Russian Oligarch and should be suitably punished for being close to Putin, and if that means his assets are seized, including Chelsea FC then so be it.

Well the official line from Russia is that absolutely nothing is happening in Ukraine, are you going to follow that official line as well.

I find it ironic that Burnley supporters - many of whom have some very questionable right wing attitudes themselves - booed the Chelsea fans yesterday.

Says it all really. Tuchel rightly called them out.

I don’t think he is trying to justify it, he is trying (quite poorly) to explain it from a Russian point of view. I think it’s slanderous to say he is justifying it.

Repeating debunked arguments like "zelensky is a neo n4zi" and "Russia invaded to kerb NATO expansion" is just parroting propaganda despite the publicly available arguments to the contrary. That's my counterpoint.

posted on 6/3/22

I’ve said it elsewhere - if your a Spurs fan the you know that Chelsea have always had an “element” in their fan base, it has ever been thus.

And this goes beyond tribalism because I wouldn’t label the same thing at our biggest rivals Arsenal who have banned fans for life for gas chamber noises and their own fans root them out.

Happy to debate with anyone, that Chelsea have always had that ‘element’ in their fan base

Absolutely wouldn't deny we have shltty people in our fanbase. It just sucks when others talk about it like it's all of us, and it's frustrating when those accusing you are unwilling to apply the same critical lens inwards

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Like I said he has argued it poorly - calling the Jewish Ukrainian president a neo N4zi and then some utter nonsense about land mass for missiles.

However he has not tried to justify Russia’s aggression, he hasn’t said they have every right to do this because XYZ. More Spurs crime is not having a faaaacking clue on the matter

Yes that's the irony of this whole clamour to "save" Ukraine. Their own president is a neo-nazi, who has string links to Isreal.

I didn`t. I loathe them as well. And the Football authorities got that all wrong as well. They should not have been allowed within a million miles of British football.

FWIW I’m not trying to tar Chelsea fans with the same brush above, but there do seem to be a higher proportion of Chelsea fans than any other club who get involved in things like this

Well I certainly wouldn’t apply it to the majority of Chelsea fans who are normal people/fans like the rest of us. For me Tuchel was superb yesterday and is very likeable anyway as a lot of the modern era Chelsea managers have been.

I just remember the 80’s and as a Spurs fan Chelsea was a game to avoid in a way that most others weren’t.

There are some very shihttty Spurs fans that I want nothing to do with. But Chelsea, Millwall, Leeds always had an ‘element’
