It will be about the right players. I suspect we will spend big on another CB and a RB. If we can upgrade Mora/Bergwijn then we will - but we won’t be desperate here. CM will be the next most important area and then if they can get a back up striker they will.
They only need to go big at CB, CM and RB - they could get that done for £120m which is affordable for the club. After that it will depend on who we can shift and who wants to come in. For instance if we can get Dybala then Lucas or Bergwijn can be sold.
Per transfermarkt
19/20 season (champions league football) - 75m net spend on transfer and loan fees
20/21 season (europa League football) - 87m net spend on transfer and loan fees (though that includes 29m on the buy option from the lo Celso deal from the previous year)
21/22 season (europa conference league football) - 56m net spend on transfer and loan fees
So I would say at least 50m + the fees for Romero and Kulu before player sales are required
yeah id keep Bergwijn unless Ajax offer more than what we paid which is like £30m anyway. Rest i would sell in the OP and Tanganga will either leave or loan too.
Leaves a lot of players to bring in though and 8 in 8 in isnt realistic and doesnt happen (if it does, never usually for the greater good)
Ndom loaned again (cant see anyone stumping up what Levy would want)
Lo Celso sold to Villarreal
Lucas maybe off
Winks gone
Rodon/Tanganga gone
GK, LCB, RWB, CM, ST in
and that'll do me
if Reg and or Sanchez go too then we can think about a CCB and LWB.
Royal leaving would be bonus money if there is as much interest in Spain as reported
Think you're very ambitious with those figures. Majority are on big wages and their stock is fairly low. Think we'll probably need more Dele style deals to offload some of those names.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
thats said though reckon we could get more than £10m for Winks
I can see Newcastle being interested in a couple of names on the list, particularly Lucas so we might get a bit more than expected. GLC has done well on loan so we might get rid of him and I think Winks and Sanchez will find a club also. Personally I want to keep Royal, Rodon and Bergwijn as I think all will be good.
Ndombele - I think we’re just going to have to offer him out cheap and see if we can get maybe £20m for him.
It's certainly very exciting. Just to have CL football back would be amazing but to have Conte with a number of high quality singings would be insane.
Thinking back to several months ago when we had Nuno, no shots on target for 3 games and no Kulu or Bentancur.
We should be all over a deal for Eriksen, he has transformed Brentford and is still top class
Wouldn’t be so sure about Winks being sold.
Conte has always spoke highly of him and if he’s happy to be a squad player, then he could be valuable to us in times of need.
Hope Bergwijn and Lucas aren’t sold, unless we buy better replacements.
We can’t keep balancing the books by selling squad members otherwise we will always only have a starting 11.
To compete, we need a good squad.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
its a catch 22 because we cant just keep players too long either which we have seen the consequences of the last few years
happily see Lucas replaced in the squad with an actual striker
Out of the players listed above I would hope we keep Rodon and Bergwijn.
Lucas will be 30 in August so I doubt anyone will pay £25m for him. £15m seems about right.
Really hope we can resign Eriksen and Bale for nothing. Johnstone from WBA would be good too on a free but I don't rate him based on one game I saw when he let in two soft goals.
If Seville sold Kounde for big money this summer they could look at Sanchez as a replacement. I think we could command £30m for him. He has been linked previously and Seville could easily be playing in the CL next season too.
If we sold Winks to another prem team we should be able to command at least £15-20m. Scott Parker at Bournemouth will be fan should they be promoted. I'm sure other teams will be interested too like Brighton or Southampton.
Could we land Kounde ourselves?
Previously he didn't want to join us with Chelsea being his preferred destination however with the $hit show at Chelsea, us getting CL football, Conte and a much improved team.
We could us sanchez as part of the deal too.

Prefer someone taller than Kunde. He is good but Seville will over price him.
Doesn’t Kounde usually play to right or centrally. Out of all the LCB I have seen us mentioned with, I am can see Schlotterbeck as the most suitable and viable option.
In:
Back up GK
Spence
Schlotterbeck
Eriksen
Bale
Out:
Ndombele
Lo celso
I’d be happy with the above. I would love us to move on others but our squad will simply be too thin for European football as well.
think we will have to mix a match a bit in the window.
1 or 2 freebies - may be Eriksen. Then we'd have an erisksen and skipp alternative to Bents and PEH. Sarr will come in, might be good to train with us, at least until January to assess him. further back up alongside Winks.
Maybe Bale but he'd only come to stay fit for the WC and doubt he'd put his body on the line as its not as if he has to play for his Welsh place.
Sam Johnstone from WBA he'd get our HG quota up and is very decent cover and maybe a future no.1
Good value. Some talk in the media about DiVrij. He'd be 29 with a year left so would be relatively cheap but quality. Say 15m.
Jed Spence or Boros other RWB are very good youthful options and HG. Apparently 25m price.
So then I'd say there would be enough in the budget for another mid value buy and a biggie. Whether that biggie is a CB or FWD who knows but I think it's needed to really improve our depth. Personally I'd like us to go big for Inters Martinez. sell Lucas and Bergwijn if we have to but to add a 4th quality attacker would be a statement.
So for me:
Johnstone for free
DeVrij 15m
Spencer 25m
Eriksen free
Martinez 70m
sell or release:.
Ndombele loan
CCV 10m
GLC 25m
Lucas 15m
Rodon 15m
Gollini 0
Emerson loan
That's a net spend of 45m so defo. scope to add another CB or CM, especially if we also sold Sanchez and or Winks.
but I don't think we can expect massive amounts of ins and outs. 5 each way may be, but not the 8 or 9 that might happen in a perfect scenario.

I dont really see where Eriksen fits in your current style. You wouldn't play him in a midfield 2.

Good squad option from the bench and rotation from the right i guess

Yep, with 5 subs for next season he will get plenty of minutes. Conte bumped into him in Feb

Yeah think Eriksen would only play in the midfield two if we were chasing a game late, otherwise it'd be as one of the 10s off kane

I have a feeling when all is said and done after the window shuts we will ok in the full back, midfield and attacking options. Ok being the operative word. The only weakness will be the depth of CB's and GK Cover. Just my hunch.
The first eleven should be better but we will no way have the same quality in depth as Liverpool, City or Chelsea. Hopefully will be able to solidify 4th(should we achieve that this season) or go one position better. Lets face it 4th is ours to lose right now. Fingers crossed we can finish there this season 🤞🏻
Potential outgoings
Ndombele - £30m
Lo Celco - £30m
Moura - £25m
Bergwijn - £30m (hope we keep him)
Royal - £20m
Rodon - £15m
Winks - £10m
Sanchez - £25m
----------
dropping all of those prices by 5-10m is probably closer to the mark
