Felt we were unlucky not to get draw out of it but on the balance of the game 1-0 them was fair.
Although the goal slightly dubious imo but sometimes you get them sometimes you don't.
With Ibrox rocking we can do it.
Write the game off on Sunday, anyone not 100% should be rested.
Dreadful park-the-bus stuff. Embarrassing anti-football. Could have put eleven traffic bollards behind the ball and you would have got a similar result.
I assume. Although to be fair, I didn't see any of the game.
na that goal shoulda stood IMO. i think the camera angle makes it look like Mcgegors view was blocked.
But in the end were talking about a squad that cost over 200m to assemble needed a fantastic strike to beat us 1-0 at home.
The great thing is Im almost certain that every one of our players will believe they can bet them at Ibrox.
Cant rest players IMO, IF they slipped up then we wouldnt forgive them not taking advantage. (granted if we somehow won the europa all else will be forgotten). I wouldnt risk any player but I certainly wouldnt just put out a b team.
I wrote us off against Dortmund, didnt think we would have put out Braga. Ill say it now if we can beat Leipzig, I genuinely believe we will go on and win it, and if we did somehow pull off the unthinkable it will be the greatest achievement by a scottish club in our lifetime (its already bordering on that tbf) and to think this is our first serious rebuild team where we actually gave some finances to a manager we trusted, and that first real squad we assembled could possibly end up winning a euro trophy.
Its really hard not to dream

Rangers in the final in Manchester didn't have a right go.
---
Plenty of square go's though.
There is no advantage we would need Celtic to drop points in 3/4 available games. They haven't done so at any point this season.
Chasing pipe dreams could cost us a European final, need to make sensible decisions with the head and not the heart.
It wouldn't need to be a B team but the second choice midfield 3 should be picked. Arfield, Kamara, Davis. Should not have Kent/Aribo play more than an hour. Probably wouldn't even use either if it was up to me.
Another one with really difficult decisions for Gio. I think he will balance it. Switch out everyone he has decent replacements for and sub the players he needs fresh at the first chance.
Hope you're right about the final, got a good feeling about it

If you do make the final, have a go at least.
We had a right go at Porto in Seville and were beaten in the end by a team that went on to win the CL the following season but we had a right good go at them, always be proud of that.
I always thought Rangers in the final in Manchester didn't have a right go at it, if you do make the final have a go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
nup disagree, you do what your good at, if that was by playing an attacking brand of football like we have this year then so be it. If your team works best as a defensive unit then you play to your strengths.
If we won it with 30% possession and 1 shot on goal only those that are bitter will try and complain
I think Leipzig will be content enough with the 1-0 tbh. They have 3 players back from suspension next week too, with 2 being first choice defenders. They have a pretty strong squad to choose from. Thought their attacking subs made the difference last night, Silva especially.
No doubt about it, Rangers are still in the tie and Ibrox will be rocking but I'd fancy Leipzig to score. Interesting to see what GVB starts with now it's 1-0, does he go for the same in the first half, ie sit in or go for it from the off? That would suit Leipzig tbh. Looking at their previous ties and away form in the league playing on the counter suits them.
We only need one goal in the 90 minutes so I doubt if we'll be going gung ho. If Roofe is fit that should help.

Agree with that. I’d bring in Lowry for Kent and Sakala for Aribo. Can just see Ralston leaving one on Kent and that messing up next Thursday which is far more important
Thought Jack was really good last night and I’d worry about him completing three games in a week, Arfield would also add fresh energy which we’ll need.

I think we will come flying out the traps at Ibrox, its what we have done every game.
I think we have the chance to be the stronger team, if Roofe can return it will be a massive boost. People can have a go at not "going for it" last night..... with a far lesser squad that doesnt have a striker we can use, what we did was the most sensible approach. We got beat by a wonder strike and restricted them to 4 shots on goal.
Agree with the article as well Gio got it spot on and it’s great to see him being so flexible with tactics. Don’t think we saw that from Gerrard or Warburton.
Thought he got it wrong up top though, Aribo made an impact when he was furthest forward. A lot of folk were calling for that from start. And after that impact he then brought on Sakala and we didn’t have as much of a threat.

i think he got it wrong once Sakala came on and played throught the middle. It was the right time to bring him on, but he should have been a straight swap for Wright and kept him out wide. Aribo was at least giving us something to work with and linked up well.
They are a pretty well drilled team and do have the quality going forward. Doubt they will fold like Braga did.
You are in with a chance though that's all that matters for your fans I'd reckon and it's a game to be excited about.
Just think from a Leipzig point of view they wil be content with that as would have known rangers would sit in. Looking at their last 2 ties against Sociedad and Atalanta they drew first leg at home but won by 2 goals in both games away.
Sakala was almost in at one point after the goal but for a great defensive block. His first touch is honkin but.

they will look back and be disappointed I think, they had a lot of the ball but couldnt do much with it. They will know that we are capable of turning it right up at Ibrox as has happened in every game.
There is a very strong possibility their ar$e collapses at Ibrox. Braga pretty much agreed thats what happened with them.
We certainly wont fear them at home. no way and I think our players will fancy beating them
Doubt it tbh, they've won the game, it's a semi final. I know rangers lost in Braga but had a couple of chances and a bit of sustained pressure around box. Didn't see any of that last night. Leipzig a quick, technical team who will relish more space I'm sure.
Leipzig are now favs to go through but of course rangers are still in it and the fans will relish turning up the volume.
Leipzig are way better than Braga.

Just to point out-you needed extra time against 10 men to beat them. They got a goal back in the second half with their 10 men. That’s not really a sign of a team collapsing.
