Well done on being the most consistent team in the league this year Celtic. A great turnaround from Ange.

Given the resources he had at his disposal I don’t really see it as the ‘miracle’ some seem to. But it is very impressive all the same.πŸ‘

Of course Rangers getting to the final of the Europa is clearly a far bigger achievement- and winning it would be a success for a generation.

The money Rangers have made from this run so far plus the huge sale of benchwarming youth player Nathan Patterson have given us a huge financial boost.

It is truly wonderful to see both OF teams happy with their lot this season. It will make next season all the more interesting.

A lot will depend on what happens on 18th of May and to a lesser extent 21st May.

But looking purely speculatively could I see Rangers reclaiming the league next season ? for sure I could.

Could I see Celtic getting to a major European final? πŸ˜‚ err….naw.

Congratulations to both of the Old Firm for their success this seasonπŸ‘

Are rangers a good team or not?

We started the season with schite like murray, montgomery, ajeti, and managed to turn it around with consistency, and a never say die attitude despite our horrific injury list in november/december.

If this is a good rangers team then its a fantastic achievement to win the title. So whats it to be, are they good or not?

Shhhh don't talk facts. They talk about our resources as if the title should be a doddle then ignore their resources and spending compared to the teams they have played. Don't forget this Rangers team walked the league last year so much they got excited with fireworks.

They seem unable to enjoy a cup run without saying "aye bit Celtic"

Rangers are clearly a good team who made some very costly mistakes in the league.

The league cup exit came when our manager had just walked out the door so it doesnt really take a genius to work out the main factor in that one.

Celtic have done terrifically well to take advantage of Rangers throwing away points. They also wiped the floor with us when we bottled it at parkhead.

It is notable though that history didnt repeat itself in the next game at Parkhead. And that is a source of encouragement.

I suspect the way they play that Celtic will continue to be better than Rangers in the league next season against the other teams. If Rangers are to win the league we probably need to take a min of 8 points in OF games.

At the same time the way they play probably means that they wont have the same success in Europe that Rangers have had. By far the most impressive thing for me about Rangers achievement has been Gios tactical changes - they have been spot on almost every time.

I am not convinced Ange has that tactical adaptability to go the distance in Europe. I would love to see him prove me wrong and see another team reach the top level in Europe but if we can figure you out pretty quickly and set up to counter it as we have done in the last couple of games then other teams with players at a better level than our domestic opponents will too.

So no its not Rangers are great and Celtic urnae at all. Its more that there isnt much between the teams but playing styles and tactics lends itself to more of a chance of success in Europe for Rangers rather than celtic.

Absolute nonsense. You wouldn't have got out of Celtic's group this year.

What both teams need is a group with one team vastly superior to the others who are all pretty level.

If either get a group with two good teams, they don't get through.

I've said it loads of times, if Rangers come up against a team they are well matched with, Rangers will almost always get through.

You think I talk nonsense?

You think £200m RB Leipzig and Scottish Premiership Runners up Rangers are well matched?

You think Bundesliga giants and favourites for the tournament Borussia Dortmund are well matched with Rangers?

Rangers were huge underdogs with the bookies to go through in both those ties.

Tactical adaptability has been they key for me and Gio has knocked it out the park.

From what I have seen of celtic this season they play a certain way till they run out of steam and then they become a bit vulnerable.

We will be better prepared for playing celtic next season. I am looking forward to it - I expect it to be close again and i I said I think it will come down to how well we can do in OF games.

Celtic run out of steam and become vulnerable 🀣🀣🀣

They have scored more goals and conceded fewer in the last fifteen minutes that any other team in the country.

Rangers have been underdogs against Lyon, Dortmund, Braga, Leipzig this year.

Top goalscorers, most attempted shots , most interceptions. We have been the best offensive and pressing team in the competition.

That is mindblowing considering the difference in finances.

If we win the comp it will be up there as the greatest achievements in scottish football history.

see thats the thing... were actually discussing if Rangers V Dortmund/Leipzig is well matched..... what a compliment that is we shouldnt be on these guys levels yet we are better!

kl.

with the financial disparity between teams now its an unbelievable to even be in the final. Win it and its one of the greatest achievments in scottish football with only Celtics euro cup and Aberdeens cup winners cup.

So if there is only two possible achievments that could rival it then yes its up there as one of the greatest achievments ever in scotland.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah except it never.

We were blown away by celtic and the team as a whole froze in the first half. The 2-1 game at Ibrox was nothing like it. Celtic edged it in a scrappy low quality game.

There isnt much between the two teams - the three games since the 3-0 have shown that. But I am sure you knew thats what I meant.
