On the other hand, the Australian America’s cup victory in 1983 was one of THE great underdog stories 👏🏻👏🏻
Of course Spurs is one candidate. Any others?

That’s a tough one, look who he was up against.. and he still got to Top 5 in the world.

Was going to say Pogba, who is the perfect player when things are going well. But the whole United team is probably fair enough right now.
Lukaku needs a mention here too Robb. A guy who is perfect when everything is set up to play to his strengths and no questions are being asked. If things turn even slightly sour for him, well, we know what happens

Yeah I don't think that's fair on Henman. He just wasn't quite elite level and probably overachieved if anything
Sergio Garcia for most of his career until he finally won the Masters.
Vitas Gerulaitis in tennis is a good one.
Super talented player who torched McEnroe in their junior days but never mentally was able to overcome the likes of Borg & McEnroe in the majors.
Ravel Morrison.
Who's than guy from City? Johnson was it? He just noped out from starting for them and packed it in

Yeah Morrison is still knocking about and showed flashes last season at Derby. But he was more highly rated than Pogba in that United youth team! And even at West Ham showed that ability on occasion (think he scored a wonder goal against you guys). Just didn't have the mentality to do it consistently, so definitely worth a shout.

There's a good interview Morrison did with Rio a while back, where he talked about some of the stuff he was going through at the time. Worth a watch for sure.
Michael Johnson. Sad story

Michael Johnson.
He just lost the plot, club rivalries aside he was washed up at 21 and in rehab which is sad for anyone at that age.
I think the British cornhole team lacks confidence
