Thing is we were nearly relegated - changes had to be made for this season.

We desperately needed to reinforce our midfield, particularly the Phillips role, and Marsch wants to employ this double pivot. We seem to have done that - we now have Roca, Adams and Forshaw.

We knew Raphinha would be off, and we've brought in a possible replacement.

We still need someone to push Bamford, aside from Joffy, but don't think Wolfman De Ketelaere is up for it, so maybe someone else.

Someone experienced to back up Meslier would be a bonus, and then there is the LB conundrum - is Firpo really a dud or not?

Don't know how any of these players are going to settle into playing in the PL or whether Marsch can do the biz but, after the utter shambles of last season's injury crisis, I must say I feel quite encouraged.

Blind faith, it's a must-have - plus the meds, of course.

wouldnt have minded i a couple of these guys had been brought in this time last year but alas they werent and we know how that panned out. A lot of unproven players all coming in at the same time is going to be hard to get to gel or work but i am hopeful but nothing more. Biggest worry for me is JMs system is very narrow and can leave FB exposed and when i see firpo supposedly playing there it fills me with dread. Same way teams just drove through the middle of our non existant midfield under Bielsa they will kill us down the wings under JM. A crossfield diagonal pass into FB areas will be our biggest downfall this year i feel and will be mostly down our left cutting us open and firpo nowhere in sight and even if he is there will make little difference other than he might manage to foul someone but i doubt be capable of a winning tackle. Still time to get a decent LB but we havent been linked to any and need the Raph situation sorted asap. If barca dnt pay the going rate then tell them and deco to do one. If Raph takes the hump its his world cup place going down the toilet so i reckon better keeping until jan and then get rid if thats what he still wants for whatever we can get. Also need a striker and back up keeper and then we can cross our fingers and everything else and hope for the best

Too much Marsch knocking before the season has begun.

Haven't seen it on here. Maybe on Twitter, but I don't follow that crap.
Nothing wrong with asking questions.
Last year we didn't really see what marsch could do. Not his players or system.
I'm excited and looking forward to the season, I think we bought some gems.

Let’s be honest, these players are gambles. Adams iOS an upgraded Bridcutt, Roca is Bianchi but with a good first touch, Aaronson is essentially Harrison at Cam.
The Viking is a cheerleader with the predictable Nordic madman gimmick.

There I said it.

We're going to have completed 5 senior signings come Friday. Then you can probably expect a Forward and maybe a keeper. So we could be set to start a league game against Wolves with half a team of brand new players. As exciting as that is, its still a sizeable risk in regards to 6 players gelling quickly. Think we're better than all 3 promoted teams by default, so I think we'll be fine next season but still ...

Sinisterra has just signed

Not too long ago we were staring Championship football in the face. This was largely blamed on not bringing in players in during the January window. Now we are building a bigger squad and those very same people still aren't happy.

I genuinely believe that there are 'fans' in here who would prefer that what they have said and predicted comes true merely so they can show the LUFC fans that they knew best.

What good does that attitude serve anyone other than themselves. LUFC fans don't need fans of that type as we have many, many more whose glass is half full.

For Christ's sake give the team a chance before you start your pointless soothsayer-style predictions.

As they say you can't please anyone whose cup is half empty.

Let's see what the league position is before the World Cup and then we can comment with facts, not negative fiction.

And something feels as if these "6" newbies will be better than the 11 Cellino threw at us!..

And at the moment we still have Raphinha, does he not have to be gone by tomorrow or he stays with us?..
