City are pretty good at getting fees for youngsters. Southampton signed a couple of them for decent fees and I'm sure there have been others too

Alvarez was signed in January and loaned out, I believe. They've also sold Lavia, Bazunu, Pedro Porro, and Darko Gyabi for 5m+ each.

Think they paid 12 million for the keeper Bazunu

Can't believe we have spent £51m and only have Frenkie De Jong to show for it.

Leicester haven't bought anyone and could easily lose Schmeichel, Tielemans, Maddison and Fofana over the next week.

Chelsea could easily top £200m if they bring in 2-3 more players they've been linked with. Doesn't seem like they can actually sell anyone either, just loans.

Transfermarkt claim City have spent £98m and sold off £144m worth of players.

City always lie about figures. Lets not forget the £20m each Haaland's dad and agent received

itll be the initial fee paid to the club not inc addons or agent fees. Dortmund got 51m but city are expect to pay 90 + with all agent fees etc.

For some reason that list hasn't got Lavia and Bazuna transfers to Southampton on it.

Same deal with Pogba when he left Juve to go to United. Juve only got £60m for Pogba which is what they wanted. A clear £60m profit. The rest went to other parties.

The money that went to Haalands agent wasn't an 'agent fee'. It was a fixed amount which was part of Haalands contract agreed between Haaland, his agent and Dortmund. Something the buying club had to pay in order to secure his transfer. Much like with Pogba.

Missing Lavia and Banzanu.

Transfermarkt attribute funds to B teams from transfers so not the best for this.

Even if City did pay extra for 40m for Haaland they would still be the tightest board in the country this summer.

Do those figures (OP) include wages?

As if only the transfer fee, they don't really give the full outlay for the player.

posted on 3/8/22

No i suppose we have to assume that wage budgets remain at around the same levels of previous season or within sight of at least.

If the total outlay (transfer fee plus amortised wages) was available, would give a more accurate reflection on the total outlay for the player.
