Missed most of the first half but I thought Ronaldo's decision making and intentions were generally sound today. Just didn't have the legs when it came to it. Actually felt a bit sorry for him.

As well as demonstrating why Rashford (for all his limitations) is starting ahead of Ronaldo, I feel like we saw why McTominay (for all of his) is getting game time at Casemiro's expense. We didn’t really see elite defensive midfield cover or game management from him, and he looked pretty slow himself against a cheese-makers league side.

Mixed bag for him. Did some good stuff and some bad. Worked pretty hard. Should have had a couple of goals. The best thing he did (assist) was a mishit. Ultimately tonight reinforced that he needs to move on

That we are talking about Ronaldo is the exact reason why should have not signed him. He is not worth the headache. Can we buy a striker under 27? Someone who is on the up? An unquestionable no 1 striker. The Ronaldo gripe is exhausting

Testify a "younger" striker, a player with skills and promise about their game and let's see how that goes, Love Ronnie, not taking us back to the top however

I know he's likely to get injured again before long, but it's nice to see Martial enjoying his football and smiling broadly. Seems like his game is a good fit for Ten Hag's side, and he feels valued.

As frustrating as he is, we’ve always played better football when he’s in the team.

Yes he seems to be enjoying his football. I really hope he can stay fit and we get to see what he can do under ETH with a sustained run of games.

I struggle to see a Top 4 challenge this season without Martial playing a large portion of the season.

Me either. Totally different prospect with him in the team as he can run in behind or drop deep and link the play. Hopefully Ronaldo goes in January and we are able to bring another striker in. Probably be difficult to get anyone decent in the window though. What's the crack with the world cup and window? Is it still open for the same period?
