obviously joking, but although im still patient with conte after 2nd half of last season, does feel he might need a team that good to do something with us
likes of maddison and olise are the sort of players newcastle will go all out for and get while we dont even consider, but would both bolster the squad massively and boost the hg quota
GK, CB and RWB are key and two of those positions we were supposed to prioritise improving in the summer as that is what would propel our XI
hopefully udogie turns out to be a good as signing a Kulu and Bentancur

Assuming Conte did get some or all of these players can you guarantee that his obselete tactics would change
If not for the fact that you are Spurs fans, I’d feel bad for those of you who thought you played well in the first half.
Spurs didn’t stop playing until going 1 down and even then it looked like Liverpool would score every time they countered. Just because you created more chances than usual doesn’t mean you played well.
I wish Spurs would play like this against us when we travel to WHL but no doubt you’ll press us all over the pitch and play with energy and intensity from the get go

I just wish Conte had the ability to coach players to improve. He doesn't seem to have it in him. Not sure there is 1 single player that has majorly improved under him. Yea, he has the team playing in a shape etc but I just don't think he improves individual players. That's what bugs me as much as anything else

No manager in world football is going to improve the likes of Dier, Davies, Sessignon, Sanchez etc. They all just need replacing. Most of them are leftovers from the Poch era. That was over three years ago now.

For a manager that is so big on wingbacks, Sessegnon is EXACTLY the player I'd expect a world class manager to improve. Conte has not improved a single player in the squad. He doesn't have that in his coaching locker. It's not what he is about.

You guys are just ssshitting about because we lost a match we should have won. And would have drawn except for the woefully inconsistent refereeing.
Conte has definitively improved:
Romero
Dier (despite yesterday's disaster, he's picked for WC)
Betancur
Doherty
Bissouma (played his best game so far yesterday)
Lenglet (getting better every game)
He can't work magic on Davies and Emerson, they are beyond redemption.
Sessignon should have had a penalty.
Perisic hit the woodwork twice.
And Dier did one of the silliest things I have ever seen on a football pitch.
Not only did he give Salah the ball, he played him on-side.
Its a game we should have won. LIVE WITH IT!

I'm not getting into the debate around Conte on or out. Il admit I am a fairly "reactionary" fan. But I see his positives and negatives.
How can you say he has improved Bissouma and Lenglet? That's a crazy statement, both have only just started playing so id say they have literelly just been given games.
Not sure about any of those "improving" but I guess we will agree to disagree.

if you watch their last 3 or 4 games you will see improvement.
Lenglet was playing very conservatively first couple of games, barely ever came forward on attack. Now he's on the attack whenever, watch the Liverpool game.
Bissouma played like a lost cause first 3 games. I thought he was a waste of space. But he showed up in the Liverpool game too. I put these improvements down to Conte.
