Rooney's pass for RVP's volley against Villa is a beauty too. RVP still has a lot to do, but the ball is so perfect that his only option is to hit it on the volley. If you watch it, the ball just drops out of the air in exactly the right spot. Its and amazing ball and he doesn't have to adjust his run, so can focus fully on his technique. A great ball and a great strike.

Mata's assist for Smalling against Wolfsburg is better for me. The little backheel flicked volley that cuts out 3/4 defenders. Incredible skill.

Bollox, it was inch perfect and they were about 8 feet apart.

Absolutely no one near Silva, no pressure, massive gap between the defenders, acres of space to pass it into.
