Kane plays in an inferior team though. His stats would be boosted too if he played for City.

Typical Sandy. He's clueless. Filtered me after I raised the same questions about his post.

Haaland already has scored enough goals to be top league scorer 5 times since the premier league started.

If he scores 2 more goals in the next 22 games then he would have been the top scorer over the last 4 seasons.

No one in the prem era comes close to him.

I reckon Kane would score as many and City would be a better team if he played for them.

I agree. Haaland is more of a physical specimen than Kane. But Kanes all round game is better and he links the team up so well with his dropping off.

I don’t think it helps that they’ve moved on Sterling and Jesus. Both offered goals and creativity from the wings or through the middle. City have been gradually selling off their squad depth for a while now, looks like it’s catching up with them.

I'm convinced he's not a spurs fan.....it's the only logical explanation for the mud he puts us through ......🤣

Sterling and Jesus had to make way for Alvarez I believe. It was the right time for both of them to go. This season was always going to be a bit more transitional, further hampered by the fact he’s barely been able to field the same back four either.

I think the rarity of doing 3 on a bounce is for a reason, hard to keep that intensity up, but had Arsenal not turned up this year we’d still be on track to do so. Still a lot left to play for but Arsenal certainly looking the most likely of any right now.

We'll never know coz Kane ain't got the balls to leave Spurs so he'll/they'll always have these little excuses to hide behind.

posted on 31/12/22

Grated, I understand why they had to leave but it doesn’t change the fact they are losses to the squad. City could probably do with bringing in a pacy winger in Jan.

Kane is a lot slower than haaland, so wouldn’t score as many of those types of goals where pace is key. He’s not as physical either, but he does have more to his game. I’m not sure how he’s do at city, I suspect possibly not quite aswell, in terms of raw goals, but he’s probably open up more chances for other players. It doesn’t matter anyway as we’ll never know.

I don’t think it’s balls. It’s getting out of the stupid contract he signed that was the problem. City didn’t think he was worth the money Spurs wanted and here we are.

Which is why the constant comparison is a bit pointless ultimately. Haaland was the better buy given their ages.

You’re right about the squad, but I don’t want to see us bring a winger in. Foden comes back into the starting eleven now I would imagine, and most of us would rather see Palmer getting minutes. The only way would be for Mahrez or Grealish to go the other way, which isn’t impossible.

posted on 31/12/22

You probably won’t, but I think you could do with one. Especially a right footed one that will go outside on the right. I think it’s a bit of a weakness on that side. Foden can at least provide that threat on the left, even if he’s not really fast.

A legitimate question has to be asked though, are City actually better for having Haaland?

When you say 6 months it's actually more like 3 for haaland. Season didn't start until mid August and then there has been a whole world cup too

Probably not. But it’s difficult for City to really improve from the level they’ve been at. Their injury problems at the back aren’t really helping them this season. Most vulnerable they’ve looked at the back since 19/20 when Liverpool won the league.

posted on 31/12/22

Maybe not improved points wise over a whole season as at one point they were the best side ever pretty much and very hard to sustain or improve on.

He’ll be the difference, or could be the difference in one off games though especially in the CL.

One's a goal hanger who taps in about 85% of his goals from 6 feet out, whilst usually contributing nothing for team mates, just grabbing the glory by tapping in at the end of the hard work put in by other players.
His main skill is he is bigger and more physical than most CB's.

The other scores all manner of goals, and is one of the best in the business at assisting others. His stats prove that, particularly with his partnership with son, which is the best in PL history.

That said, why do these people wake up and think " I know what, I will post a pointless post designed to sl*g off Harry Kane, thereby showing the world that I have the ability to have a pathological hatred for someone I don't know and have never met. Because, you know, no one has ever done that before.

Ultimately who gives a f*ck. I certainly don't watch one of them and instantly compare them to each other. They are totally different players. All I am bothered with is Spurs winning games, same as City fans when their team plays.

“just grabbing the glory by tapping in at the end of the hard work put in by other players”

Harsh way to describe Kane propping us his stats with penalties.

City were stupid spending big money on Grealish and not Kane, imagine if City had Kane and Haaland up front

Kane plays much deeper. Spurs don’t have city’s mf though. Haaland is the perfect in the box striker. Like shearer on roids. Kane would score goals at city but haaland is def a better fit imo. City don’t need a creative no9. And although kanes all round game is better Haaland is like an angry Kane with pace who wants to batter defenders.
Haaland bulldozers defenders. Kane backs into them, feels contact and wins a free kick. Both score goals but have noticeable differences.
I genuinely think most spurs fan would instantly swap Kane for Haaland if they could though.
