bernabei - he's a long term investment, which i'm shocked we would go for tbh, 3 million for someone not to be pushing first team is odd.

Did you not do something similar with an Ivory Coast midfielder who was meant to replace Brown but disappeared? Can't remember his name but I'm sure it was a similar fee for a development player who didn't develop.

That's the one.
Think it was presumed Brown would be finished and then he had a wee bit of resurgence in form after Kouassi arrived and he just never got a run of games.
I always feel if a Scottish club is paying that kind of money it should be for someone who is going to play.
if we're giving penalties for MOR handball against Ross County then every single time the ball hits a players hand in the box its a pen
The 2 Goldson ones were stonewallers, you could tell by his face last Monday he knew it was a penalty and then yesterday what's he even doing? why is his arm out there?
Some of the decisions in our games have been baffling, Smith penalty not given, Goldson not given, the Jota 'offside' which going by the Wolves 'offside' on Saturday night shows that he was onside but we didnt have the technology to prove it, MOR handball against Ross County
I don't have we've had a decision go for us with VAR domestically
The handball at Hibs they looked at for ages even though the referee had given it and it was a stonewaller then the 'offside' for Hatates goal in the 4-1 win on Xmas Eve they looked at for over 3 minutes
then you look at Sands handball against Hibs and they don't even review it
madness
Anyway, back to the football yesterday.
I thought Rangers were actually quite pedestrian and the first half of the game reminded me a lot of the way Rangers played under Gerrard, and in particular the game early last season when Jamie Robson scored the winner in the first game back after lockdown.
It was very much football-by-numbers - knock it side to side and hope they can slip a pass in to either Tillman or Kent in the inside forward position, who can then turn and cause problems between the lines. It was all they really tried to do, and they were just doing the same thing over and over again. A very mechanical approach.
I thought we had a chance to win the game first half (despite what Beale said, Rangers weren't in complete control in that half). Obviously we then had a five minute spell where we crumbled but even then, despite the fact we were never getting back into the game, I never really felt like Rangers were going to go on and score a hatful of goals.
I feel Rangers are a good bit off being a title winning team.
Kouassi had a good season last year on loan in Portugal getting 90 most weeks but got injured towards the end, returned to Genk and hasn't been seen since - rumours of cruciate recurrence?

Yep. They’re a long way off and I think everyone is just waiting on their next set of dropped points to someone they should be beating comfortably. You just know it’s going to happen.
Yeah i'm not looking at them and thinking they are playing well just yet, a bad result and i think a few will grumble about the performances.

Totally agree about VAR. Celtic are really hard done by. No other team suffers as they do. What an amazing team they are to be top of the league cantering to a title with all the decisions going against them. Truly awesome!
Also as far as referring goes, the 22 cheats running about the park aided and abetted by the touchline don't exactly help

he literally has fantastic credentIials, earned the hard way travelling the globe learning the coaching methods of lots of different clubs and coaches.
I dont see anything conning about that?
what you mean is he sounds like he is from London?
to flip that back at you.... Ange sounds like he has 2 weeks to live.
Yet to see what Beale has to offer although many speak highly about his coaching abilities. Management ability is so far unknown.
What could be his “downfall” is the lack of board backing. And that is also as yet an unknown.
Jury out but so far he’s won 5/6 with the one being a draw. Good start. Massive test in the semi final coming up.

time will tell but he has had an almost flawless start.
played 6 , won 5 drawn 1
manager of the month.
I cant imagine he would have knocked back wolves and left QPR unless he had some assurances about funds to spend.
as always time will tell but he has improved us already in the short time he has been in charge IMO.
