Never have I seen such a limited footballer demand the ball so much, only for him to give it back to who passed to him, for him to point at his own feet to demand it back AGAIN!
As exiting as Parker's 360s used to be.

Me too, he drags the whole team down imo.
Needs upgrading.
They are all doing it… Dier & Davies do it continuously… so frustrating!!
It's like fans don't understand the concept of a defensive midfielder. These same criticisms are levelled at defensive midfielders at many clubs. What's more, Hojbjerg actually does chip in with goals and assists.
Agree about Hojbjerg, Winks used to do the same
Cucurella does it for us and we paid 60 million for that fackin privilege

Watch the amount of hospital passes Dier and Davies give their team mates. Its criminal. They broadcast to opposition exactly where they are passing the ball to

The pundits love him as do managers. I’m still to see the point of him. He’s also such a whimp when tackling and when he gets the slightest touch rolls around like he’s been shot….. drives me mad that…..

I agree on PEH. He gets away with a lot of poor performance and is a total handbrake in our midfield, bringing many moves to a grinding halt by being sooo safe or just giving the thing away.
Those deflecting PEH's inadequacies on to Dier and Davies are a joke. His limitations are a CM are as great or greater than theirs as ball players...but he's a midfielder, ball playing should be a quality he posses.
If you look at comparable players such as Xhaka, Partey, Casemiro, Rodrigo, Kovacic, they offer so much more than PEH.
We need more dynamism in there but i fear this is the kind of low risk, solid CM/DM that Conte dreams of.
he was never going to be good enough for spurs imo
he was very hit and miss for us but played better in a 442 than in a 532 352
he clearly has talent there he wouldnt have been at bayern else but he doesnt seem to find it consistently
very good lad off the pitch though every player ive spoken to who played with him loved having him around and he was very good as our captain in press conferences etc
Yet our esteemed manager plays him every game even tho both Sarr and Bissouma are far better players

Bissouma has been under par so far. It's easy to slate hojberg and forget the games he has had a huge impact and earned Spurs points.
He has more goals than Richarlison and Kulu combined. Isn't he Spurs 3rd highest goal scorer in the PL? Sure he is a bit no frills but if every player in Spurs starting 11 applied themselves and put in the effort he does, top 4 would not be a struggle and Conte wouldn't have a face like a smacked a55

Agreed, there are many problems in our squad but Hojbjerg is not one of them.

Yeh I think he over reacts etc to try and cover up his inadequacies, when he is dispossessed or gives the ball away under a tackle he will go down like he is seriously injured to try and fool people.
He is a decent squad player, but we need better as a starting player.

What annoys me about this is that he plays the hard man, "I'm a Viking", and then throws himself down like a tart.

But he is one of them and a major one. Games are won and lost in midfield and our midfield is poor. Not only does he put us in trouble defensively often enough but he offers us very little going forwards. His goals and assists are awful for a midfield player and his lack of positioning and lack of defensive capabilities is what piles pressure on our centre defenders. Ok we our centre defenders are not great but he is supposed to be a shield in front of them and he cant do that right either.
