Rangers fans you despair as well with the jock stein song and sometimes tommy burns.

I remember back decades it was happening with John doyle and Bobby mckean.

If right in thinking they both died close in time to each other, might be wrong and both fans glorified in giving songs about the 2 players laldy every week.

Ridiculous it still going on.

I really don’t know what values you have in life to sing a song like that. Clueless pondlife.

The club have been quietly ignoring these songs and the Aye R Aih pash too. The yobs who sing it seem to be Ned’s jaiked up with all sorts. The club have brilliant CCV and know where the pash Emma ayes and who has season tickets in those seats. It has the opportunity to ban these rses but choose not to. IMHO Celtic Directors are complicit in this.

Song about Walter Smith and other individuals who died? These songs are utterly pathetic no matter who sings them.

CCV has been outstanding-totally agree. Think asking him to deal with issues amongst our fans is a bit much though.

Bang on OP. There’s a section of our support, particularly noticeable at away games, that are a fecking embarrassment. Nothing new, to be fair. Just no need.

It's like the Leeds animals singing "Who's that dying on the runway" when they play Man Utd. It goes beyond the realms of "banter".

Not a chance in hell of stopping it until strict liability comes into play.

And no way will the clubs allow that. Sure now and again there will be hand wringing and gnashing of teeth with associated wailing but it won’t stop the dafties from thinking it’s ok to crack on.

The sheer bile between the OF fans that can be read on many forums is as bad as I’ve seen it for many years. I used to think it was a generational thing and would die out. How wrong was I.

Good article. Songs like that have no place in a football stadium.

Always been there with these types of ‘songs’ with a small number sadly. Like someone said - thought that it would die out through time- sadly not - absolute lowlifes

Pretty thick skinned so songs like these dont really bother me very much.

I just think them, along with the 'aye ur they;' songs are pretty dour, boring and depressing, especially when there is so many other good songs. Joe Hart and any other English player as well must not be overly happy about it either.

In reality its all about one ups man ship and when one goes so obscene, others must make it worse. And the cycle will continue.

I think one of the main reasons is due to the trophy number being a lot closer which has led to their fans being more 'vocal' and then we rise and the circle continues. I think the closer the gap becomes the worse itll get.

And as a final note, strict liability just isnt possible. Could easily just have a rangers fan at Celtic Park to get them a points deduction. Not difficult to do.

Agree with this and equally disgusted by similar songs from Rangers fans. Needs to stop.

One of the most tedious things on socials is seeing one group do it and the other get all offended and outraged then the other do it the next week with a similar response elsewhere. Horrible stuff.

Problem is it's getting steadily louder. Same as the aye ra stuff. Louder and longer. Nothing being said about it

Singing that scheite is more important to these @rseholes than the team, game or result. Football is just their chosen platform for confirming their @rseholiness.

Was annoyed hearing it too. Saw idiots trying to defend it on Twitter with the “aye but they sang…” nonsense. Is it a race to the bottom ffs! Where does that end?

Agree with the Op sentiments.

But I'm an optimist in most things.

I think things are generally better now.

40 years ago majority of fans would belt out bile.

'Up to our knees' or 'soon there'll be no Protestants at all'.

Now it's a tiny minority & mainly at Aways.

Also modern tech picks up most things that would have been missed.

Still krap but where you find people you'll always get it.

You've probably not been to an away game for a while.

Utter vile in the away support now.

And reading back I see others agree.

These cretins aren't fans of the beautiful game.

They're ill-brought up parasites who do what parasites do.

Attach.
