There may be no problem. But it depends on the motivation of the player. Like I said, he may have ambitions of breaking into the England squad for the Euros. That won’t happen being third in the pecking order at Arsenal.
Have you seen Chelsea's squad?
Its absolutely not true anymore. US owners are pursuing a moneyball/analytic tactic based on a nucleus of young players with large asset values.
When 20 year olds are going for £80m+ it makes absolutely no sense to trim squads down.
We have been playing with a striker short and in fact there were rumours we were planning to go back for Vlahovic next summer. Balogun saves us a lot of money. And if he pins his nationality to England makes him even more central to our core.
Chelsea are a mess, they aren’t really relevant. I wasn’t suggesting he’d be sold. I was thinking more that he may want another loan. Maybe he backs himself to become first choice, I don’t know. But my point was that it’ll be difficult to convince a player to go back to be third choice. Most clubs just don’t have three strikers that have regular play time up front.
Boehly's history is in hedge funds and quants. He is not that wealthy compared to other owners in the premier league. There is a reason why he is doing what he is doing. Its not without risk.
The premier league clubs have realised that its going to be difficult to form break away leagues so are in my opinion focusing on making the premier league the world league. This is why Liga are complaining. And why FSG, Glazers etc are all hunting for investment or selling up.
That is going to super inflate values of players. We've already seen some of that. Thats why teams are focusing much more on developing and keeping their young core.
Young players want to play for the top clubs. Its really that simple. Where they can maximise their earning. Its not about 3rd choice for a top club when the FA Cup is going to get more coverage than winning Liga!
It will be different if Balogun is 27 and not starting.
That’s all well and good. But not really relevant to Balogun going on loan to get game time. Something he did this very season.
And why wouldn't Balogun get games next season? We'll have 4 trophies to go for.
If Balogun stays next season then one or even both of Eddie and Jesus will have to be sold, right J99?
Jesus can play the position Mudryk was supposed to replace Martinelli, right Bats?
If he’s asked to. That’s the point of having a squad
Are we buying Balogun for £80m?
No but be bought Jesus for £45M to be our #9 so obviously if Balogun comes back then Jesus cannot stay.
I won't be shocked if Jesus is off in a season or two. If Eddie and Balogun establish themselves.
Tough one, will also depend on if we plan to bring in any other attackers in the summer. Could potentially have Jesus out wide for some games/scenarios , freeing up another space up top. But obviously we have players out wide who are working well, so that’s difficult to. Will be hard to keep 3 strikers happy competing for 1 spot when all of them work think they deserve starts after a good season. Maybe loaning balogun to a prem side could be an option, see how he does playing regular in this country. We’ll have to See how the season plays out though, a lot could change
Balogun is surely looking at Eddie and thinking he can usurp him. Then Jesus won't play every game.
Hopefully get >£50m from someone like Everton for one of them next summer.

If Enzo Fernandez is £120m I want £80m
Balogun looks very good so far but i think a third of his goals have been penalties. I know they all count but at Arsenal we dont get pens (think its 1 all season for us).
IMO he should have another season on loan like Saliba. Why come bk to play 5-10 games max when he could rack up another 30+ and come back as an even better player.
If he could get himself a PL club on loan that would be even better.
Remember Laca got like 12 goals and he was utter garbage last 2 seasons.
Scored 10 non penalty goals, which is a good return.
Also those 10 have been split pretty equally between left footed, right footed and headered goals.
