Good article Devnshire. The scapegoating of both Emerson and Sanchez is completely out of order.
Good points mate. So many shocking comments about Spurs players that are ridiculous. The last 3 games Royal has improved plenty and looked half decent. I thought today the whole team played really well and we’re backing each other up and fighting for the result. Top performance.
I’ve always struggled over the criticism of PEH, I get he is limited technically but he works sooo hard, closes spaces and is always fit.
I don’t get the hatred

Think we can all agree Sanchez is a wrong-un , except Sandy. Sorry sandy, you are in a minority of one. But fair play to him today, he did nothing wrong.
ER has actually impressed me in the last few weeks , still can’t help but feel he is a brain fart away from going back to where he was.
I thought Dier was good today, and his mistakes always seem to come when he plays a lot of games with no rest. When we were playing 3 games a week, he would make errors, due to fatigue in my opinion. He is quite reliable when he plays once a week.

He starts every game when he shouldn`t, he is limited technically, gives the ball away, plays too safe, fails to close down and lacks mobility at times. He had a good game today though, so credit where it is due, but I think we could upgrade on him or at least have another player to share the workload.

Could have got a straight red for the first though.
The ref was horrendous in the first half in particular - didn’t book Grealish for a cynical foul on Kane then less than a minute later books Bentancur for the exact same offence
Ref was poor. Same fouls got different punishments.
How desperate were City today though. Appealing for everything.
Loved Emersons battle with Grealish. Emerson deserves respect for that, but will get little.
I know I'm a major sceptic where Spurs are concerned but I thought we were fantastic today. I'm happy eat humble pie Re both Royal and PEH.. both were immense!!
Couple of points...
1) Watching Royal Vs Grealish was brilliant, a proper one on one battle for 90 mins with both of them going at it non stop. Fair play to the guy.... Massively raised his game in the past month.. Dunno if the spec Re Porro has caused it but fair play to him...Deserves to keep his place.
2) PEH is an interesting one. To me, I think he's viewed by Conte as his "on field" general which is fine but today it was noticeable how he was the one waving the rest forwards, encouraging & leading the press from the front. That was the biggest difference in the game today vs the rest of the season. It's not something Ive seen him do this year. Everything about us today was better.... High energy, looked to be positive from the word go..... It was the best example of what 343 should look like. The 2 CMs and the front 3 played on the front foot knowing they had the security of 3 CBs behind them.... My point being, while keeping the "Conte System" they played without the "Conte Handbrake". I have no idea whether that had anything to do with him not being there but something was different considering it was the same players, playing the same formation.
3) Congrats to Kane.... Amazing achievement, To beat the legend that is Jimmy is just incredible... The bloke deserves everything he gets.... If that's a move away that he wants this summer so be it !!!... I'd wish him well and hope he wins everything out there.
So there ya go.... Taken my happy pills (That Spurs performance).... I'm never gonna come around to Levy (I think he & Lewis are snakes) and I still think Conte is a bit of a "checkbook fraud" and a terrible long term solution for Spurs But Well played to everyone involved, I'd planned to be over for today's game but travel plans collapsed.....my old man said the atmosphere in the ground was deafening !!!!!....
This season for everyone is a mess.... anything could happen from here to May.... should be interesting.... Never a dull moment..... Cracking weekend !!!.... Out for dinner & a couple cold ones now ... COYS
Fair play Diamond.
I have no problem with people having issues with player a b or c or the ownership. It's a game of opinions
What bothers me is how extreme people become in their views, players are either accepted or rejected, everything's a disaster or amazing.
I am probably an emotionally level person, never get too high or too down and I can see that others are different.
But many have written off the season
Will lose to City, will go nowhere in the UCL, won't win the FA Cup and wont get Top4. I honestly wonder why such people support Spurs. One can accept things ain't perfect without concluding it's all a shambolic mess (that whole dealing in extremes thing again) but so many do.
Some will accept us as rubbish with no hope completely ignoring our end to last season where out form was as good as City and Liverpools. We can do it, we have done it, but many would rather paint the miserable negative pictures that we can't and won't almost seeming like they want us to fail so they can moan about the manager or some players or the ownership.
Didn't expect much today. Thought City would be uber focused on making good of Arsenal's slip but did expect a.lot of determined effort and we saw that coupled with quality.
Lots to play for. COYS

Grealish definitely getting ready to go down but it's a booking and his first booking was a brainless one.
Romero, our only good defender according to some, could have cost us points today with a senseless red, and he is far from a faultless most weeks.
*************
His job today was to take care of Haaland. And he did that to perfection.
I agree the first yellow was stupid and unnecessary.
But he is by far and away our best defender.
And he's out of the mix for the next 3 games!

Both of Romero's card were justified.
I mean, obviously everyone (maybe not fridgeboy) wants to be happy and whatever but let's have it right - City didn't turn up today. Lewis as a LB/holding mid? Alvarez as an attacking mid? Haaland standing there watching Grealish and Mahrez trying to cut inside..
As for individuals it's great to see some impressive performances, of course. But class is permanent.. as much as kneejerks after defeats are bad this kind of thread is cringe as well.

Devonshire, to be fair there are only about three ot four ultra negative supporters on the board. Those that hate ENIC, hate Levy, want Conte gone, think everything is rotten about the club. Even want Spurs too lose games to prove a point. The majority just get disappointed with defeats or poor performances.
I am probably a bit over enthusiastic at times. But I will defend my club vigorously.
