Where the hell did that come from????

I mean, Spurs were defensively woeful (how did they beat Man City?) but we were brilliant going forward. Is this really a corner turned.

Mendy absolutely immense and my MOTM. Cover led everything brilliantly and what a goal. We all went crazy for that!!!

But what was most pleasing was the way we controlled the game in the second half. We took a while to settle with Castagne and Ward desperately trying to make the team implode, but once we got a grip we kept it and could and should have scored more.

Want to see that offside again - never off???

But what a result. We actually beat Spurs and Kane didn’t score. Hallelujah!!!!

No Tielemans

In all honesty TB it helped because with Mendy there was more balance. He’s such a tidy player but played his role perfectly today.

Like Ndidi had a great spell in the team when he found ‘his role’, it’s a shame Mendy has never quite found his because he’s a really good player.

Don’t humour him please. Mendy had a fantastic game but he doesn’t do that consistently enough and it was helped by how awful Spurs were. We’ve finished 5th and won the FA cup with Tielemans in the team. Smashing Villa 4-2 last week in the process. Let’s not start believing True Blues utter stupidity. Listening to him is like believing the Daily Mail

It also helped because without Tielemans constant backwards passing we actually got on the front foot for a change.

We spoke about this last Season, Tielemans actually holds us back now under Rodgers, great to see the future without him Today.
