Wolves have been granted a licence to have safe standing in parts of the ground for over 8,000 fans. This will come into effect for the next home game against Spurs

We saw the same when Brentford won here last season wulfrun. Not sure how the ref can stop it happening. If a player goes down claiming to be injured then he has to stop the game. To me the only solution is to make sure all the stoppage time is added on at the end of the game. But it still ruins the game as a spectacle when there are continual stoppages. Also maybe force a player to go off the field if he’s down for 30 seconds or more even if they don’t need treatment

I don't really blame the players at all for this. Bournemouth were desperate for the points and acted in a way that made sure they got them. We would have done the same.

All the blame is with the officials. As I said earlier 13 minutes of added time would not have been unreasonable, which probably would have extended to 15 when the nonsense continued in added time.

I think if the officials added appropriate time to would cut down significantly the play acting, even if it didn't eradicate it.

I think a lot of the blame has to go down to the Bournemouth and Brentford management. They are the only two clubs I have seen use this tactic so extensively. I’ve certainly never seen Wolves adopt that method of winning a game and I hope and pray I never do

We used it on Brentford the next time we played them.

All teams waste time, one way or another, so why complain only when we lose?

I believe we have lost more than two games in the time period of beginning of last season and now. So to single out those two isn't just doing it because we have lost.

It's also worth noting that a team is only really going to use these tactics when they are winning, which makes it difficult to complain about it when you win.

Yep, and we praised them for doing it.

Bournemouth gave us a masterclass second half Saturday

To be fair, I only praised them doing it because I enjoyed their meltdown for it happening. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

If we'd scored goals from all the possession we had against Bournemouth, there would no complaints about time wasting. In fact, if we had held a 1-0 lead, then we would have done the same. Don'e use their time wasting as an excuse for our lack of putting the ball in the net.

I, for one, wouldn’t have complained about Bournemouth time wasting if we had scored and were winning 1-0. So I agree with wolfie again.

However, I doubt they would actually waste time if they were losing and were chasing the game? Seems counterproductive to me.

If you go back over my comments on this subject you will see that I didn't complain about Bournemouth time wasting. My complaint was that the referee didn't sanction it by adding more minutes.

pretty sure nobody is saying we couldn't score because Bournemouth were time wasting

Did have to do a double check on that wolfie classic comment. If we had been winning then I suspect Bournemouth wouldn’t have been time wasting

No bigger fan of Jimenez than me before his injury but he’s had lots of games since he came back and I just don’t see a quality centre forward in him any more.
------------------------------------------------------------------

A far cry from the days when you were telling me that he would get back to his best and to give him time (even quoting how Goodman did it). However, I told you way back then that he was a spent force and would be totally ineffective. I bet it hurts to be wrong, Mr Know All.

What I actually said was that I hoped he would get back to his best and would give him time to do so. I am wrong many times, but thankfully nowhere near as often as you. Mr know F all <🥁>

Wow, Mr DJ Molineux actually admitting he's been wrong. I've now seen it in writing.
