Truly bizzare shots from Judd, he maybe should have won that in the end... Struggling for the Tour championship now.... Unbelievable

Ha, what a tournament this is...

Can Jack win it? Ding? Milkins again? 😂

Ffs really frustrated with that defeat. Carter deserved the win overall he scored heavier but Judd had chances to pull away in that match. He should have been 3-1 up and then should have been 5-3 up. If he had a 2 frame lead it would have been a different match but his inability to do that gave Carter a lot of confidence. As soon as it went to a decider I feared the worst. Judd must have the worst record out of the top 5 players in deciding frames! He seems to lose far more of them then he wins.
He then did all the hard work getting the snookers and played such a loose safety it's sickening! That's 3 years in a row he's now lost in the opening round of this tournament. He now has to win the WST series to qualify for the Tour Championship which is a big ask.

Well, we can all watch now, & just enjoy the snooker as ALL our players are out, or didn't even make it 🤣😂, come on Jack 👌

Hope Jack wins it now, if not then Ding. To be fair the only players left I don't like are Carter and Murphy.

Luca beats Jack 6-4.

Ding loses 6-3. Shame all my favourite players are gone. Now down to Luca to win this!

I really don't care 😂

The QF draw is hardly inspiring is it...

I think it's good having different players in it and not the same ones. Obviously it's frustrating for me with Judd being out though.

Luca loses 6-5

Murphy looking good. 3 centuries and an 80 odd and he's 4-0 up.

Looking like 5 now

6-0 win for Murphy. He's favourite to win this for me but we all thought that last week!

He's playing great, but he's such a show off

Kyren wins 6-1. Decent performance from him.

Carter wins 6-4. He was trailing 4-2.

The Players championship thread last year got 340 comments. Whereas this year it's completely dead. Although we discussed a lot of the European Masters as well as that was the following event. I can't believe how dead this has been. I actually think it's been an okay event even with the big players missing but I guess I pretty much enjoy all Snooker with the exception of the Championship league!
I'll keep the WST classic on this thread for an attempt to at least get this over 100 comments.

Come on Kyren!

I guess with half a dozen of the top players missing we just aren't commenting, unfortunately depending on the Tour line up that might be the same.
PS.... 7 weeks until Sheffield 👏👏👏👏👏

I still love my Snooker

I never understood that to prove that you love something, you have to support it at its worst.

For example, some Star Wars fans felt obligated and put on a facade that they liked the new movies (even though they hated them) just to prove some sort of loyalty to the franchise.

I think this tournament has been hopeless. It’s not like we’ve had 3-4 really good young players come through and the future looks bright. Having new champions is usually exciting when it seems like they will improve the competition.

I like Ali Carter, so if he wins the tournament, I’ll be somewhat happy, but a well past his best journeyman like Carter winning is not going to make me jump up and get excited.

I support my football team through thick and thin ( thin atm) & like all of us on here love my snooker, & of course, its snooker, I'm watching, but I'm not enthused enough to comment as much, simply because the line up isn't anything special, like Just True says, it's not like new young champions are emerging, it's blokes in their 40's as usual,...
