Ian Harte, Morten Gamst Pedersen and Seba Larsson were decent. And Thierry Henry.

I'd pick Beckham for this though.

Gary Pallister. Reckon he has a 100% success rate.

Not seen the replies but Zola. Probably been said??

Absolutely lethal. Still don't think he gets the props he should, I always thought he was amazing.

Robb, how is that controversial?

I will always say Beckham.

The "other" Juninho, to most English football followers anyway, was the best I have ever seen, took me a while to admit he was better than Beckham, age and maturity mainly, but I saw a video entitled, and I paraphrase "The guy who takes free kicks as penalties" Which is a very fitting title due to his success rate and also the way he took them. Unbelievable tekkers bruv.

“I’m going to be controversial”

Picks the player widely regarded by fans and pundits alike as the best FK taker in the league…

Harry Kane

A quick google lists the following as having the highest conversion rates of the PL era based on minimum 15 FK’s

Trippier
Mata
Anelka
Coutinho

However, JWP has shown pretty astonishing consistency. 17 of 112.

Tbf Robb thinks picking a Tears for Fears song other than Shout for his "video of the day" is edgy and brave.

Best 3 I've seen

Beckham, Payet, Ward Prowse

Ward Prowse deserves a film if he does pass Beckhams record and he'll be the best ever if he does.

Not just the ones he took at goal either. He could pick out any player he wanted with his set pieces, and from range too.

Becks, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo-those three with their iconic stands over the free kicks made you sit up. Although Ronaldo’s record is awful, the other two were pretty good.
In terms of pure technique, JWP is the best after Juninho for all time. JWP can strike them from any distance with any technique.

of course its prowsey

u cant even compare him and beckham fairly because beckham played in a utd team who spent most of every game in dangerus attacking positions so had lots more direct free kicks

he stuck most of his in the stamds

prowsey is deadly

Great shout, I never got that aspect from the juvenile research I did.

Beckham was also insanely good at that, two excellent proponents.

I didn't see this comment, fair shout for mentioning Pernambucano, but you hyperbolised yourself out of a serious debate.
