This is extremely embarrassing for the BBC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly, but let's look on the bright side. Looks like we may have got ride of about half a dozen of the most irritating, annoying 'pundits' ever to assemble in one place.
Loosing Wright, Shearer and especially Richards equals a fantastic day. Hopefully we can now see a few professional, non bias people that can actually give a balanced take on any given football match.
Together with bring the format of MOTD out of the 1970's into the modern world.

What the fack is going on at the BBC?

Are we really now saying that anyone who presents a BBC programme is not permitted to publicly share their political opinion?

Madness.

Pandering to the rancid Tories is what’s going on at The BBC.

Maybe.

But would this be any different if he had said he agreed with government policy?

I’m not sure. I think both ‘sides’ are as intolerant as each other in terms of voicing an opinion.

Also footballers should refuse to speak to bbc interviewers

Just stop paying your tv license. There's no reason for the bbc to be around.

Of course it would. The Tories don’t cancel people that agree with their extreme policies.

But the left aren’t the government in power that have the influence at the BBC to cancel someone over something like that.

As if cancel culture needs the government support to occur?

Both sides are intolerant, but definitely not as much as each other. Tories are far more intolerant.

posted on 11/3/23

The extremes of both sides are just as intolerant as each other and it makes political debate on public platforms impossible.

It would in this particular instance. Showing support for the government isn’t something that gets people cancelled on broadcast media, particularly the BBC.

posted on 11/3/23

Also, this isn't happening because millions of people have riled up or anything, we're all aware that it was probably a few calls, Suella >Rishi>Head of bbc= done..

Yes, but that’s not I was referring to, was it.

If this had been left alone it would simply be a case of, "famous person disagrees with government policy".

The Conservative Party by forcing their governing stooge to suspend him have made this a massive issue.

I'm not on the fence, and obviously I have opinions on each subject. That's not my point.

"send them back" = facist

having compassion = not facist

It's that simple.
