Yes, those Enic shareholders will be satisfied with the stable nature of their top four dividend prospects. No portfolio issues at the corporate stadium to put unnecessary stress of any hedge fund management

The enic customers in full voice at the corporate stadium fully behind the company’s latest results.

If we finish 4th, having lost Bentancur, having to put up with Captain Idiot for half a season, Dier, Davies, Sanchez, Lenglet and yes I am going to put his name in the mix because he is a lunatic - Romero. Not mention at the start of the season most people wanted Emerson gone.

Everytime Son starts it's like playing with 10 men, Conte has had his own health issuea too, so a top 4 finish would be a decent return.

The football has awful too!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there anyone in the team you like? Or are you at the point now of just being a Conte stanboy..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kane has been brilliant. PEH has been a steady Eddie. I've really enjoyed watching Skipp return to the side. I think he has been brilliant. Bentancur before he was injured was mint.

Watching Emerson's redemption has been good too. As I said before the football has been awful for most of the season but everyone knows the defence needs major surgery if we want to push the likes of City and Woolwich next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can’t disagree with any of that

Glad Skipp has proven some of the doubters wrong. Emerson has grown on me also. But in Porro yesterday we got to see what can come when a FB has a decent delivery.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As much as I’ve enjoyed royals little up turn I agree about Porro

He looks a cracking signing ….fast, direct and always looks to pick out a player with his crosses rather than smashing it and hoping

Forster has been a huge plus point too …hope he keeps his place for the season even if Hugo comes back ….he is all round a steadier keeper and I like the fact he is two footed

loving how Foster stood up and showing us he can be relied upon!
Skippy as ever an extra bonus! Richy is still alive and ready to be counted! think only the left hand side slightly iffy for us.

Forster has been better than I expected filling in for Lloris. Really good so far and arguably making himself first choice. But we are yet to see him against the very good teams. At least we can say we have a solid number 2 keeper now.

Considering how mediocre Davies is, this is a shocking indictment of Perisic

Pleased for forster.....I know its no real reflection on talent but I prefer a keeper that looks a bit of a unit.

Unbelievable tbh! Perisic is a seasoned pro but he is sure having a torrid time in the PL...Making Davies look like supreme Cafu

Yeah playing a 30+ year old at LWB when he has been an attacking player his whole career, in the fastest league going was always going to be a good idea

If we finish top 4 again then would Conte deserve to stay?

He will more than likely be leaving anyway but two top 4 finishes and I would say he deserves it, even if this season has been mostly poor and we've underperformed in the cups and Europe. It might depend on how we get there though. I've said before we need some improved form towards the end of the season for us to warrant pursuing with Conte. Just stuttering into the top 4 by being the least out of form team in the race will not change much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s not all Conte’s fault but no way does he deserve any longer. You’re spot on - if we do get fourth it will only be because other teams are worse, we’ve not really done anything to warrant it. Our football is terrible, we’ve gone out of all cups when we had extremely winnable games, we can’t get any consistent form together and he hasn’t said anything positive about the club in months. He isn’t the worst manager ever and I wish him all the best but this relationship is so done!

Not so sure we're that comfortable in 4th.
Newcastle have 3 games in hand and can over haul us.
And...have we found our winning ways just because we beat Forest?

I think he will leave and on the one hand it may be best just to start the whole process again seeing as we may lose Kane and therefore would be due a shake up of sorts.

On the other hand, supposing we finish the season strongly; finishing top 4 or 3 comfortably with many good wins and performances along the way. For me I'd have to say he'd be worth keeping on, with the caveat being he'd be out at the first sign of trouble next season.

But then we waste another season!

There are so many reasons why it isn’t working. Results, the football, his attitude. Let’s start fresh with someone who wants to be where and who wants to planfor the future and not just one year at a time

Don't get me wrong, am still seriously annoyed about the Sheffield Utd game. CL is nice and all, but we were never winning that anyway.
But, contrary to the media, pundits etc who strangly have Liverpool already home and hosed, we are just quitely getting on with it. In fact, again another media 'given' that Utd have already booked 3rd, with today's result v Southampton, they are only 2 points ahead of us with just one game in hand. Hardly a given is it.

Talking of "yeah but, they have games in hand" stuff that seems to be the media 'go to' thing this season, is all well and good if you actually win them.

For me, nothing is certain ( apart from Arsenal getting all the luck in the world every week ) the top 4 situation is far from settled, regardless of what the media want you to believe.

If the performances and results are good enough then it wouldn't really feel like a waste though. It would justify keeping him on. It wouldn't excuse failures in the cup and Europe but let's say in the unlikely event that we win 8 or 9 games out of 11, draw the other 2, and deliver some top performances in those games and Conte was prepared to stay on then I would be satisfied enough to give him the chance for a third season in which he'd have to start bringing success.

I mean we could bring in Poch or whoever and they flop from the start, whereas Conte finished things in great form and may have been starting to click things into place before leaving.

Anyway, we're dealing with hypotheticals now. Let's just see how the rest of this season pans out.

posted on 12/3/23

Conte should only stay if we sign 2 top class defenders and should demand it be done before the pre-season starts otherwise he might as well go. We can’t play to his system with rubbish defenders.

Amazing how there is near mutiny at Spurs and yet the all conquering Manchester Utd All Stars, who really are back this time, are just 2 pts ahead of spurs.

Newcastle have three games in hand and are currently beating Wolves. This is not just a fight between us and Liverpool.

Interestingly though, United are being dragged back into it and with Casemiro now facing a 4 game ban, 3rd is opening up again which would be astonishing if we overtook them. Can you imagine that with the football we’re playing? Also, I wonder whether usurping United would make Kane have second thoughts. Why join a team lower than us? Makes you think 🤔

Difference is that United have already secured a trophy this season and second favourites for the FA cup and Europa league.

I’ve said for months that there is nothing wrong with our league form - people were going crazy when we scraped past Leeds 4-3 at home saying it’s not sustainable, well the rest of the league outside of Arsenal and City are absolute bobbins this year and our form absolutely was sustainable.

The club (especially the board) have to start taking domestic trophies a lot more seriously though because the fans are fed up watching us get knocked out by Championship sides

The main reasons Spurs are so close is the refs have been instructed to cheat Man Utd every game. Honestly today was next level. What is worse is they got VAR and get so many wrong decisions in one game.

If that was Man City it is a penalty.

posted on 12/3/23

We saw that yesterday. Honestly think if refs had given correct decisions we would be ahead of Man City. It seems to happen every game we draw or lose this season refs make huge mistakes costing us many goals. That is why Ten Hag won so many leagues, only
Refs can stop him.
