The dwarf will walk before he’s pushed.
A general overview of the predicament City are in (table wise), not being hands on like yourself.
Just prior to the match at Villa Park I predicted (not on this forum) City would finish the season with 37 points. There followed 2 “surprising” results in our favour and a reverse I wasn’t expecting (at Southampton). Sifting through the remaining games I have again come up with a feeling that the season will be concluded with 37 points on the board. That is the best I can conjure up given the present circumstances. Obviously, the prospect of survival takes into consideration the fortunes of those around and beneath us in the table.
It really concerns me that this points tally will be insufficient come May.
A worrying accurate article, don't want to turn on Top but think his father would have done everything in his power to prevent the inevitable, whilst Top just seems resigned to situation and is surrounded by incompetence and people who seem to be putting there own importance before that of our club.
If we go down do they not realise that most of the new type of fans who latched on to our club a few years ago will disappear, whilst the traditional hard core will remain but in fewer numbers and the day of constant full stadiums will be gone.
Then the supposed ground extension will not be required.
I predict a few hard seasons ahead.
You know we’re absolutely aligned on Top and it’s a sad fact that a large chunk of our fan base have been complicit in the complacency that is seeing us slide towards oblivion.
This isn’t about just questioning Rodgers - it’s the fans who won’t consider the fact that Top is letting this club wither and die with his continued poor decision making. The fans that won’t hear a word said against Top. The fans insistent we have the best owners in the world. The fans rooted to the past. The fans unwilling to voice their opinions at matches
They’re all part of the problem and they are all in for a huge shock
Excellent post Foxello. Well said.
I thought you looked ok yesterday against us,you might even have got a result on another day !
So stop whinging and get behind your team.

Here we go. Another fan of a multi pound club that’s had everything handed to them on a plate over and again offering their expertise on a smaller club based on watching them for 90 minutes
Multi billion*
We’re the multi pound club
By the way an inkling of an LCFC board meeting today but only from some highly dubious Twitter sources who say that Whelan is concerned over the fan backlash towards Rodgers and hat a few players are becoming disenchanted.
Before we get too giddy - even if Top pulls the trigger now, what happens next largely depends on who he gets in. I feel he’s left it way too late to do anything other than a caretaker appointment possibly from within the club. There will be a lot of relieved fans if Rodgers goes but that by no means ensures our survival and it still doesn’t put right the appalling decisions that continue to be made

Yay, another neutral coming along to tell us how good we are based on one performance that resulted in defeat, and how we'll be fine as long as the fans show more gratitude and pashun. You guys are about as welcome on here as a fart in a lift.

I read something on 'the other forum' about a supposed ITK rumour. I very much doubt it though. Tweets from Jason Bourne and Alex Crook indicate no plans to make the change and Top/Board unaware of seriousness of the situation and a belief that Rodgers will turn it around. Delusional.
A lot of people are saying Top and Brendan are close friends which is why the sack won’t be considered. No idea if any of this is true and I have nothing to add that already been said.
It’s just depressing to support Leicester at the moment, I dread what might to our club when the inevitable eventually happens.
Avoiding relegation is in our hands again, according to Brendan. This doesn’t bode well.

People criticised Puel for his "qualiteeee and intensiteeee" interviews but this clown says far worse and gets away with it
One of the reasons why I'm convinced we're going down under Rodgers is because of how weak and brittle his teams are. They fold under any sense of pressure even when it's 'in our hands'.
- Missing out on Top 4...twice
- Losing to Prague
- Losing to Napoli
- Losing to Roma
- Smashed by Forest
When the pressure is on, his teams collapse. The only time we didn't wilt was the FA Cup final, and that was more down to moments of magic from Tielemans and Schmeichel and a fortunate VAR call than anything Rodgers did.
Worse still, his attitude has rubbed off on the players, hence Maddison's outburst last week. He is absolutely the worst kind of manager to have in a relegation battle, which is why keeping him in charge of one is such a negligent decision by Top.
Very true Foxello. It’s an absolute disaster and the club is being run into the ground. I’m now convinced that unless Top steps back and gets another investor in or unless he sells up, he will financially ruin us. Sounds dramatic, but we don’t have the finances to survive relegation
I haven’t really got anything to say or add which is why I’ve not posted since yesterday. I just don’t even know what to say. It’s depressingly obvious whats happening and I’m just hoping that we have enough quality just to scrape enough points to stay up.
But right now I’m doubtful of that. I can’t see where the next point is coming from.
Depressing.
Honestly, for me, if it was a choice between keeping Rodgers and we stay up but he remains manager next season, or getting rid and going down, I'd happily take Reading away next season. We'd end up going in the same direction anyway but the sooner we get rid, the sooner we can attempt a rebuild.
So we’re now out of the bottom three on goal difference and two points off bottom. Do we trust Rodgers with the great escape mark two? I don’t think so.
As Foxello says we can’t cope with pressure. If it hinges on the last game against West Ham, I know which way it will go.
Come on Top, show you care about the project your father started, even if it is too late.
There may have been some anti-Brendan stuff at the KP before, but nothing like what was evident yesterday - it was quite vocal numerous times. Two chants - the obvious 'We want Rodgers out' but also one something like 'Brendan, you're taking us down'. These are what has hopefully had an impact on Ms Whelan.
Unfortunately it is probably too late to make a change, given that we only have 12 games left, and anybody coming in would take time to assess the squad and instigate changes.
He should have been given the boot after the dreadful start to the season.
It's interesting listening to the pundits on the radio talking about the relegation battle - they almost always list every other team being at risk but us, we usually get added in as an afterthought. It's almost as if they believe the hype, we're too good to go down with such a quality manager. Well the table doesn't lie.

I am really not sure that Top is listening at this point. The banner at the Palace (?) game made no difference and he looked like a disappointed schoolboy who'd been told off by his teacher. He's made his mind up that Rodgers is his man and I think it'll be too late when he eventually comes to his senses - we'll be gone by then.

Yep. Prepare for lots of phone ins and think pieces about what a shock our relegation is, how nobody saw it coming, how it's the biggest shock relegation ever, etc. Basically lots of journos and shock jocks who never watch us, assume we're too good to go down and think the sun shines out of Brendan's backside, who will then declare what a massive shock it is.
Of course, many of them will also be mightily relieved that a club that, for a while, was best placed to challenge the established order, having already embarrassed it in 15-16, is now out of the league and they don't need to worry about the annoying, pesky Leicester City hurting their cartel anymore. But maybe that's my tinfoil hat speaking.
Just so sad to see the club I have supported for over 60 years in such a parlous state. I do now fear it's all up and relegation is a certainty although I cling to the hope of a miracle. Too late to save this season by sacking Rodgers who should have been dumped immediately after the World Cup.
