Is that offside?

posted on 2/4/23

I am sure they were offside like 1 minute before on same passage of play.

The good news is that DDG is still 0.95 up on xG

posted on 2/4/23

Typical they score with there 1st on goal 2nd half and De Gea in no mans land from a cross and header.

Newcastle xG up to 2.81, but DDG keeping it down to 1-0. Fantastic stuff form the Alpaca.

As I said earlier, we were never going to win this. When we play this badly, we almost invariably lose. Not surprising, as the level we're playing at is worse than any team in the league. And it's becoming the rule, not the exception

Yeah but there was like an offside chance that wouldn’t have counted and 2 shots straight at the keeper so take them out and there XG would he like 0.7.

Hate to compound your misery, Haf, but it's up to 3.19 now, and still only 1-0. DDG will be getting an improved contract offer if you pinch something here.

From title race to 5th by Tuesday evening.

We expected the collapse to come from Arsenal

posted on 2/4/23

We are like the only side in the top half I believe to have scored less than expected and concede more than expected.

Don’t get why just De Gea just stands there for both goals.

So harsh on De Gea, this. With everything he did to keep the score down. Newcastle's xG must be about twice their actual score.

Well Karius made more saves against us than De Gea made against Newcastle United in the 3 games we played against them this season.

True, he's been exceptional. Keeps us in games regularly. Best player in the league, without doubt

I don't get why Hafi is so blind to this.

De Gea was the worst goalkeeper in 2022 away games and 2023 away games. I think he has conceded 25 goals more than expected. The worst keeper in whole of England.

posted on 2/4/23

Still got loads of time for you though, Haf.

posted on 2/4/23

Before todays away game Man Utd had conceded 7.54 goals more than expected which for De Gea is one of his best seasons yet it is the 20th best record in the league which is his level for like last 4 years.

posted on 2/4/23

That's pure deflection now

posted on 2/4/23

To be honest put Phil Jones in goal last 4 years when De Gea played and if we concede as much as expected I think we would have conceded 30 goals less.

Everyone was saying how great Newcastle were in the 2nd half. They just had 3 shots on goal lol.

Even with a deflection, De Gea would still save due to his cat like reflexes

Henderson went unbeaten away from home. De Gea conceded goals for fun in better defensive sides lol. He conceded more than expected in nearly every game under Rangnick. There was like 5 games under Rangnick I believe we had 15XG and they had 2 and we scored like 4 and conceded 6 lol and everhone said how bad is Rangnick.
